I always thought Nimander was much older - but I'm working on the assumption that Rake is hundreds of thousands of years old (I can't remember where I read that). If that's true, and it's true that Nimander is Rake's first child it seems odd that it would have taken 299,000 years for that to happen. Even if Rake is only 10,000 years old - same logic applies.
