Help
Considering it is the first book in the series...generic fantasy dude I suppose is possible...he sure looks like he is. I agree that Fantasy novels in general have suffered greatly when it comes to the cover artwork...they're just now starting to get better. The main reason I picked up The Name Of The Wind was because it had a sweet cover haha. Midnight Tides is the Steven Erikson cover that caught my attention...I'm not a fan of the artwork for Gardens of the Moon or Memories of Ice.

That cover was actually used for one of the foreign releases.

They were going to go with that Youll cover for the US release, until many people on the forum realised this and campaigned rather effectively to have it changed. It probably helped somewhat that the UK cover was fantastic, so they didn't need to commission a new one.
