The first gig was awesome fun since the venue was so small, i could practically reach out and touch them while they played. Main problem was the extreme lack of light, which meant a lot of shots were ruined by my shaky hands. I got to talk to them afterwards and show them the pics on my camera screen, and managed to get permission to shoot their soundcheck for the next time they came down to my home city.
Of course the day i'm there, the soundcheck was a shambles, and with tempers fraying i didn't really want to go near them to shoot any pics. I did get to see the gig the next day when everything was sorted out, and got some nice shots, but again the lack of light made things tough. The shutter speed was really low, and yet i couldn't even rely on leaning against a wall, or the edge of the stage, cos the whole venue was vibrating from the soundsystem, and people tapping their feet on the floorboards. A unique photographic experience I'm telling you.
Anyway, hope you like the shots.
