Just the mentioning of twilight makes me want to puke. But okay, I'm in. But if you make me sparkle, I will chaos knife you. Which will make you mostly dead, to torture you longer.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Said action need SHOULD not involve Meyer
come on, it's a book aimed at teenagers and deals with high school. I'm sure it MUST include an archetypal "slutty hot popular girl" or two in there somewhere, so that Bella at least has a reason to be all emo and cry about "why can't I be as pretty as the ASHPG"

Ment, doesn't she sparkle too? Granted I haven't actually read any of the books, and not seen the second movie, so I have no idea what the business is here. But I would agree to being either cuddly cute or horribly evil as long as I don't sparkle.

As a front soldier of The Good Litrature Army i have steared down into the abyss that is twilight and can therefor say that bella (notice small
turns sparkly in the last book.
The abyss have stared back into me and it found nothing but grim determinatnion and memory of good litrature, just in case you were wondering

Stay strong Beru. My dad listened to all 4 page compilations on audio book. I used to get rides from him frequently. It was not a good combo.

The thing is, plain old nobody likes her Bella IS the mary-sue inclination of your archtypel slutty gal, except for her foreplay consists of lip biting and uncomfortably long gazes (you know, because sex is bad and all unless you get permission from a god).

Yes, precisely. She is (or at least thinks she is) the complete package. And then she sees sparkly people. And rages against her lack thereof. SHE WANTS TO BE COMPLETE! Thus Edward is but an unwitting tool in her cunning and heretofore unrevealed plot to become sparkly whatever the cost, whether it involve intensely painful super-powered sex, almost being eaten by the baby resulting from the aforementioned unprotected super sex, or having her dear ol' Ed nom his way into her gut to get at his kid.
Edit: clause shifts everywhere!

Beru, you continue quoting Dawn of War... you must play in my 40 k game now.
interesting to know about Bella being the ASHPG, I assumed she was just a random everyday nobody. meh, can't say i care either way since there's no way in hell i'll be wasting my time reading trashy sparkly vampire stalker fantasies, esp, 4 books worth of it.

Are you kidding? Afaik, none of that is legitimately in the "book." I only know what's there because I've been reading the Twilight thread in the inn. And I made up some shit that actually might improve the story.

well it stands to reason that bella eather have plans we dont know about (i realy dont want to apologise to my brother for calling him the most shallow person ive ever seen in real life or in a book)
"we are the destroyers acients on this plane" so therefore we must continiue to fight this unholy infection even tho it will be hard

Well the books are from Bella's perspective, and she thinks she is ugly. However, every single male in town wants to get with her and every single female in town wants to be her... you make your own conclusion.
(Oh and after she turns into a sparkler it says she becomes "the most beautiful person in the world")

This blight has kept me a virgin far longer than it should have. The number of, "oh God, you asshole, why can't you be a real man? Like Edward"'s that I've got is dumbfounding. Nobody wants to see it ended more than me.
Goddamit, I keep crossposting. D'rek, isn't that a fairly stereotypical attitude for insecure teenage girls? Self-deprecation certainly seemed common in my high school.
