Having doubt cast on facial hair goes to the root of your masculinity, the correct response would have been to hit the emergency button on the lift and beat her to death with her own shoes.

My beard/stubble is second only to my old man (not my dad) in my defintion of what defines me as a man, plus it's a lot less fun to stroke.

Haven't shaved since the beginning of July, just trimmed around the edges. My shit is out of hand. I can't stop touching it, often without realizing I'm doing so. My wife hates that. She's ok with the beard itself, just wants me to stop stroking it like a maniac.

I'm think about losing the stache, which is the weakest part, and just rocking a big bushy amish chinstrap for a while.

Good call. I had the nickname of Jebadiah for ages. :killingme: I told people I was going for the "Hard Rocking Amish Hobo" look. It fit. ;) I now miss my beard... stupid interviews... It was keeping me warm, but I guess I am going to have to start again. *sigh*

Eleven days of mustache for Movemeber and noone but my girlfriend has noticed ;) At least the people I am growing mine against fail as much as I do at growing facial hair.

I have to agree about the stroking, I constantly find myself stroking the beard. And I have to report a grand victory. One of the girls in my class that was most vocal against my beard stroked it today and smiled ;)

Curse you beard strokers. It's just not the same on two day old stubble. I will have to wait another three or four days before it gets to any kind of decent stroking length...

Oh dear oh dear, there are medications which can help with this.

Did I mention I love this thread?

Even creepier though...I've taken to unconsciously biting at the hairs in the soul-patch (part right beneath the lower lip) which I caught myself doing in the mirror yesterday. My god, I look like a pedo when I do that.

It has officially reached curlable length too...meaning it looks unbelievably scraggly now. I might have to borrow my buddy's trimmer and bite it back a few millimeters so it at least looks halfway respectable.

Good beard achievement today....I have to give a keynote presentation today at my old university. With the scraggliest beard ever. I love this thing.

I've managed to raise £80 so far for Prostate Cancer with my promise not to trim it before the end of November, it's gonna be tough as it's getting a bit long.

Any you fuckers who are friends with me on facebook and haven't sponsored me, git'.

keynote speech went off very smoothly.

I credit the beard. Entirely.

I think its because the ginger hairs of my beard work like fiberoptic cables channeling heat energy under the skin of my face, causing an ever-so-slight elevation of brain temperature. This increases metabolism of the brain and deepens the wrinkles, making me smarter and more assertive.

I fucking swear.

You poor bastard.
Having to shave all the time.
When I go for interviews I just shave the sides. The goatee stays, for the goatee is the core, the soul of the beard. As long as the goatee remains all is well.
