Here's the rule:
I have NO name. I have NO role of any type. I DO have a piece of text within my role PM that says more than just 'RI' but I am strictly forbidden from discussing it. Suffice to say, you're barking up the wrong tree, which probably makes you scum.
PS said:
No hinting or paraphrasing of Role pms, this will be enforcedbymodkill. But you are still allowed to claim yourself as Captain Kirkoranyone else that comes to mind.

To clarify a bit, I have a description that isn't anything like 'ensign' or whatever. But I can't talk about it. AT ALL.

GIANT RESPONSE FROM A PROPER READ-UP.
The GIANT text in the below line is VERY IMPORTANT, I'll get to why in a bit.
Here we have a DIRECT contradiction of Tulas... title but no role... and then the cryptic line about the academy?
I considered the exact same setup as Karosis here, but that could easily be WIFOM.
bit of a cross post, but thats my point exactly. i wonder if the klingons were
killer
saboteur
finder (commander)
if they knew scotty was dead, tennes could claim scotty easily as its not a role anyone would fake. his calling out of atrahal would make sense as well as atrahal becomes one of those players needing lynched. arghh i wish everyone was on.
The below post is VERY interesting for two reasons. Tulas claims he guarded and was informed one of them failed (counter-guard if he's telling the truth, or a system failure as he later describes). Second, Kaschan just told me he is not RI.
Bold mine
What... we have a revealed cook.. that has no role.. but does have a name?? BS. If you are roled you can claim something, a name, a job . even a Red Shirt. Something
Cryptic statement with no explanation?
Probably a reason for this. If we lose this game a large portion of the blame will go to me.
This makes Thyr look VERY inno.
This makes Thyr look scummy but I have him as VPI with the reveal. It also could be an inno frustrated that I didn't lynch which makes me look scummy.
Scummy-as-shit statement from Karosis. No frustration, just calmly shrugs.
BUSTED.

Well hello guys.
Honestly, you all say this is D-Day, and I agree. So I am just straight up RI.
lynching me and having a NK would most likely mean that the game would end as a loss for us.
Best prospects, imo, would be Atrahal/Tennes (since they both can't be right), and now the Tulas/Karosis problem of when food making was sabotaged, different accounts here as well.
I'm not going to vote yet, as I am rereading again, the section from Atrahal's reveal, trying to pick up anything.

hmm interesting point. So unless Tennes fixed it then guarding would not be possible. But you are the chef and I think you would know if they had been fixed.
A lot of things just aren't adding up, but I'm guessing there are 3 scum out there rather than 2 (better to go WCS) so it would make sense that stories are off as some of them are scum.

To clarify, my night 2 action was directly affected by the replicator being down so I couldn't complete it. You say yourself gk forgot to send you the PM, so I don't see why it's surprising I would know before you since I did receive a PM. It may be far fetched that I was affected by no food that quickly, but I'm sure the sabatoge of the system (which you assumed was worthless) was designed to affect my action.
The PM from path-shaper about last night was ambiguous, so I double checked and despite the lights issue, my action went fine last night.
This is important, otherwise I wouldn't have anything worth reporting, really. I guarded Atrahal on night 1, and failed to guard him again on night 2 when there was both a kill and the replicator sabatoge.
However, I guarded Alkend successfully on both nights 3 and 4, which is why I said in an earlier post that I think he is PI (since the kill and sabatoge went through last night despite my action). Of course, there could be pairing so it's not 100%, but if it is D day, the lynch and my action tonight will be important.
I never said I was RI. I have a role, but no name.

Some other things to consider are we haven't seen any name claims other than Scotty, who also claimed that Kalse was Sulu.
Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Uruhu, Chekov are unclaimed
Scotty - Tennes
Sulu - Kalse
'Chef' - Karosis
'Guard/Security?' - Tulas Shorn
Probably several 'named' players are dead, could be another RI or two left... ugh hard to say.

Time for a summary!
Telas and I are both claiming pure RI. Nothing else. Considering everyone else's claims, either we are both scum or neither of us are scum.
NEITHER OF US HAMMERED.
If either of us are scum, why not hammer, even if Tulas is our scum partner? Now we're all suspicious as a group! Extremely unlikely we're scum.
Atrahal is BUSTED. He claims RI with the title Ensign.
I can personally attest that I am NOT allowed to say a single thing from my role PM other than 'RI.' If I trust that other RIs truly existed in this game (and I do based on my generic-looking PM), then BY DEFINITION Atrahal is lying. He would not have been allowed to reveal! And I am not an Ensign.
Kaschan is BUSTED. He has ZERO claims and a suspicious statement.
He also said you could claim a name or something, which is total BS by my PM and rules.
That means the last scum is probably Karosis.

@alkend - a simple answer to that would be that you're just the symp, which makes hammering the actuall killer would be bad, even under these circumstances..
Still, we've got the night and another day now to speculate, so I'm not forming any conclusions.

Honestly, if I was scum, why on EARTH would I show up on-thread 5 minutes before lynch and then not lynch? I clearly had read the last few posts and saw the vote count. If I was scum, I'd keep my mouth shut and lurk.
Atrahal has proven to me he is not RI and is therefore lying about it. Kaschan hasn't even revealed anything and he had that WEIRD statement. Plus he clearly isn't RI because RI can't claim anything.
I'm not really certain on Karosis but Atrahal 100% has to be scum to me and Kaschan is probably 95%. Tennes and Thyr I have as inno, and Telas is LIKELY inno now based on the vanilla RI claim along with me. Only other person left is Tulas and would his lynch have been driven by his own team?

Atrahal you are a chatty MFer, so this is really atypical of you for the end of day.
I guess you made it to class? And you decide to reveal this at night after a failed lynch? Let me guess, you were lurking the whole time watching for a lynch?
This is all you can muster in defense? You've been lurking.
You're probably frustrated we didn't lynch off Tulas and so you don't have a lot of elaborate things to post. Nice ad hom tho, I see we're back to that in this thread.

I'm back. I'm going to sit here and write a big post, spelling out exactly what has been going on with my role. Feel free to try to spot discrpencies, but at the same time, try to keep sorted what actually happened, and what is my own conjecture <this is directed at you, karosis>
I have Alkend and Telas PI'd. If they were scum, they would have hammered me. Not to mention I guarded Alkend twice and kills/sabatoge still went through.
I'll have my summary post up in a jiffy.

The lights come on, at last, followed by a loud scream.
you run to the source of the scream to find a someone stumbling out of the shower, their skin burnt.
"Chemical Burns! Find Dr. Mc Coy, quickly!"
but the doctor is nowhere to be seen, and the poor sod dies in your arms.
alkend is dead, he was member of the crew
As you go back to the bridge, the door opens, revealing a floor slick with blood. Someone has been killed next to the security console
Tulas Shorn is dead, he was member of the Crew
the surviving crew make a run for the hangars, but are intercepted. 3 humans cannot stand against 3 Klingongs, even if only one of them is trained to kill
Game over, Klingons win, the Enterprise has been destroyed, etc, etc.
Well done team scum--Vengeance, Morgoth and the Dude.

I'll spell this out simply, so the slow members of the audience can keep up.
I am a guard.
I guarded Atrahal on night 1. I was informed that I guarded him. Some believe that I shouldn't have been informed if I was successful guarding or not, but the manner in which I guard people has to do with my role on the ship, so I can't talk about it.
I attempted to guard Atrahal on night 2. It failed, and I was informed why. The "food" timing may seem incongruous, but my speculation that as a game mechanic, the replicator system failing was supposed to be a "guard action doesn't go through" type of twist.
I guarded Alkend on night 3. Why did I switch? I guarded Atrahal successfully on night one. At first, I couldn't be sure that my guard failed on night 2 because of a system failure, I conjectured that perhaps I wasn't allowed to guard Atrahal more than once in a row. The whole replicator business was not settled immediately so I wasn't sure. Maybe I made a bad decision, but Alkend was coming across scummier at that point in the game. Also, with no kill/sabatoge on night 1, I guessed we were starting another 2 night cycle so guarding Atrahal AGAIN on night 3 might not prove a damn thing so I thought it might be a waste. At least this way, I would have more information if a kill happened on night 3 (it didnt) and I would have additional info on a second player. If my reasoning for switching is retarded, it is because I didn't properly think it through, not because I'm lying.
I guarded Alkend on night 4. This was to complete the suspected 2 night cycle and also to see if I could successfully guard a person twice in a row. Kills and sabatoge happened anyways, so I figured Alkend was PI. Also, I was informed that the lights went out while I was doing my guard (again, I can't explain how I guard, or why PS gives me this info). The mail was ambiguous so I confirmed with PS that the guard was successful.
Then I revealed.

You don't know the half of it
I'd make PB Man of the Match, but I don't recall sending him a symp PM
so, I'll have to give it to Venge on Team Scum, and ST on team Town--for actually being a useful healer for once.
