heh, I played with ED last week, I think I had friendly fire hits in the 20s. So I'm dangerous, even more so than him.
but I blame trying to shoot the special infected before they get us (I was the top SI killer). So fair trade off. I can't help it if other people step in front of me.
But I'd like to play through on expert and actually win at some point. Need them achievements hehe.

I'm horrendous at friendly fire too lol. My friends have learned to always let me take point.
It mainly comes when I'm trying to protect people who are surrounded. I say a stray shell is cost enough for getting you out of a tight spot, though. And you deserve it if you're stupid enough to get in front of me.
I've found the trick in Expert is to find a good place to fight off the hordes of zombies, preferably with a wall at your back. We have 2 people with shotties and 2 with assault rifles. Assault rifles stop people getting close and shotties bitchslap/blow head off of those who do, . Molotovs are our friend, too. We create an avenue to funnel, throw a molotov before they get there, and have plenty of fried zombie for dinner. My favourite place for the farmhouse is to camp upstairs where the molotovs are, blast the fuck out of those coming upstairs, have 1 person watching the windows, and place the gas cannisters at the foot of the stairs for when the Tank comes. The only hard bit is timing the explosion right, and actually getting out to the truck.
For all our trying though, we can't finish the airport finale. That minigun is in the WORST possible place ever.
Oh, I've never looked at the inscriptions on the walls before, but we were playing the airport one today and I saw a really funny one:
‘WE ARE THE REAL MONSTERS’
‘You are a real moron.’
‘No, that’s the zombies.’
‘Moron.’
‘Have you been outside jackass!’
‘IDIOT.’
‘I think it’s them stupid.’
‘I hope you are DEAD now!’
‘I miss the internet.’

hehe, yup. There is one I like that says something along the lines of
"Go during the day, it is safe then"
"Those are vampires, you idiot."
Stuff like that, creates an atmosphere to the game that is somewhat realistic if zombies ever attacked and communication was lost. You would be writing on walls, hoping that other survivers see it.
Anyway, played with SB and Eddie today, we dominated. Did less friendly fire too, though it is not my fault if you step in front of me lol.
Next week we are going on expert and winning.

@MTS. To beat DeadAir you have to go up the hill behind the plane and cluster together, then just blow them away as they run up the hill.
Its amazing how much easier it is to beat a level on advanced when all 4 players are good.
One of my fav lines, from Bill in the elevator in No Mercy.
"You call this a zombie apocalypse? Doesnt hold a candle to the zombie invasion of 68."
"What?"
"Naw, I'm horseshittin ya!"

Well that strategy works SB- though half of us died. Sometimes I have done it on advanced while standing on top of the fuel truck, it can work too if you stop smokers fast.
I also like the Bill quote, I miss most of the lines since my volume is usually too low.

Half of us died because Cougarbait is a dumbcrack and didnt hear you say there was a smoker over there, got snagged and we had to get him. And somehow, he survived. But dont worry, i kicked him in the nuts when i got to work this morning.

hehe ok. I was busy picking you and Eddie up, so I figured he could handle the smoker.
But, no lie, once that plane started opening, I didn't even look back haha.

I'm on PC Impirion, although my multiplayer is generally fairly screwy; shitty internet connection at the moment.

For the record,
I love Left 4 Dead NOT online. I don't get when people complain 'there's no story.' Damn, there are SO many other games that spend all their time on story. So many. And so many aren't that original. If L4D had a story, it'd probably be a Resident Evil knock off or 28 Days Later knock off. This way, with NO story, it's simple straight-up zombie killing, and that's why it's great. No cinematics, no glitz, no glamour, just abandonment.
I like playing with friends in person, split-screening. Good eats!
L4D2, btw, has a lot of amazing advancements. Great weapons and infected, kinda worse AI.
I love it! Love it forever! L4D4 Life!

Yeah, i'm still in two minds about buying it. No 4 way splitscreen, for a game which emphasises heavily on playing with other people, seems kinda crap.

I dont get it. I cant get into L4D2. It has more of everything. More guns, more zombies, awesome levels. But i get bored so easy playing it and after a little while i just want to play the original.
Anybody else have this problem?

No. I love scavenge and the Axe. It's a ton of fun.
Letf4Dead was a bitt harder though, I found, with no melee weapons.
Do any of you guys play together?

I play with Eddie Dean all the time. Played with Stalker and DiB a few times too. Just havent played it much lately since MW2, DragonAge, ME2, Borderlands...etc. came out.
and yes, the melee weapons is one thing VERY satisfying about 2. And the end of Dark Carnival. MIDNIGHT RIDERS!!!
