While I appreciate a page long emotional rant as much as the next guy and can partly see where you are coming from, you may want to stick your head in a bucket of ice at some point, dibs - any high tmdi has its problems, some games can overcome it, others don't, and it is very hard to determine whether it is going to be a success or not from the start.

We both know it's often a quarter on its side and depending which way it falls whether it is going to be a disaster or a great game, usually. As Mason of HHM you know this probably better than any of us, you were amongst the first to experiment :(
The only games where it can't go wrong imho is the time-tried recipe of the M&P and its offspring: up to around 18 players, tmdi 6, no cult, 1:3 scum ratio. I'd want to play such a game once a month, no more, if that was all there is to get in Malazan Mafia, and I'd quit modding altogether. YMMV.

In general, I really don't believe high tmdis are flawed, so I think you're overreacting when you say you'll never play one again.

Fact is that experimental games can be the most entertaining of them all (not to mention the most rewarding to mod), and therefore also a huge pain in the ass when it goes wrong 'cause it doesn't go wrong but goes WRONG. Once again, you know best as Mason.

I still hear people going on about the Culture game, which is a fucking legend (and run before i started playing) and that was probably above Spycraft tmdi and difficulty, which was also high tmdi and apparently according to your own reaction a load of fun, despite a massive mod mistake. but I will say for certain that it would not have been made without the debatable success of the Rome game.

So, go out, drink a beer, and sign up for D'reks next game :)

oh nvm she sent one in.

1. (Korv becomes Drunk)
2. Sil guads Mockra, Mockra guards Korv (failure),
3. Ruse Heals OE, HP Stalks Kessobahn
4.
5. Kaschan vigs Telas
6. Kesso maims HP
7.
8. Korv DrunkenVigs HP
9.
10. Emur FES' Ruse

Telas dies, HP dies, Illy wins.

I don't think if you think about it it was toooooo unbalanced. To be fair, Whoever Bella was would have wanted to be a werewolf rather than a sparkly. If we had kept her alive, then we would have had an awesome power role which basically puts us up top (well probs still behind the two independent factions) in terms of chances of winning.

I just disliked the fact I didn't know the rest of my faction when I was clearly a symp-ish role.

Also, the Ampelas thing may have been a little crazy.. what was the thought behind it?

the lack of killing oower i could handle, but ampelas... i just dont see what you expected us to do against that and i dont know how no one thought it might cause a serious problem for the wolves.

I cross-posted while you two had kissed and made up already, would have kept quiet otherwise :(

But YW, and don't be discouraged by failures.

Dibs is just such an old hand that he has forgotten about the times when he started out modding (and still had hair). Within a year, he'll be saying: 'back in my time...' 'the youngsters these days...' etc. It's part of his charm.

Well is a relative term, we were better off than all the other scum factions but... there was no way we were coming back, even before Ampelas' reveal.
I blame you for that, vigging me when I was blatantly on your team... :)

This game should be shown to all people who get scum roles how not to play the game, bar D'ibs play.

I don't think I have to say much in explanation...
