Yes, even though this game was originally created for PC...and then ported to consoles. XD

The quad-core desktop system I ordered is going to take about 2 more weeks... delivery problems with the videocard... DA will have to wait some time... :(

I got mugged on Friday night, and in my wallet was the £60 gamestop voucher I was gonna use to buy Dragon Age. I feel your pain, and also some additional actual real pain from the mugging. :p

thanks DiBs. Love unlocking free stuff.

On a side note: any other xbox gamers get invited to some Xbox rewards program? They sent me an email being like do it, so I applied and they signed me up for the testing. Gave me free microsoft points and I get rewards from spending points, sounds cool.

Gametrailers also reviewed it. They do a much better job than IGN, methinks.
Metacritic currently has the PC version up at 92 which is darn good; last time an RPG did that good was for Fallout 3.
Most of the websites such as Gamestop have the PC listed as better of the 3 with PC getting 9.5, PS3 9.0 and 360 8.5. 360 and PS3 all lack the top-down view and are "easier" on the player with only 0-50% friendly fire on. Apparently it's too taxing for the 360 at this stage so graphic scale down a bit.
So far I can't really say much, can't get game until a few weeks latter. Will post an impression hopefully soon...

Only thing I dislike so far is the zero day DLCs.
(And the ugly yellow teeth in-game.)

So, I have the game. Problem is, it might be intended to be a Christmas present for me. Not sure what the plan was, so I need to talk to the wife before I play it.I almost don't want to get into it yet, I'm just picking up steam in Oblivion and don't want to abandon it for who knows how long.

Pre-ordered the Limited Ed yesterday, for PC. It comes out on Friday here, but can't play it until the 19th, of course. :(

@DiBs - I got a Bioware Social Network account, so I can do Journeys and get the bonus items on PC. :p

INstalling to my harddrive as we speak. I'm pumped. I got a bunch of DLC for free for preordering. I got the stone warrior pack worth 15$, a set of armor which will carry over and be available in Mass Effect 2, and a couple of magic items. So, I have all of the available DLC except for the Keep, which is only something like 6 bucks. If the game is good I'll be picking that up shortly, as I already have the money on my xbox account.

I've got a serious nerd-on right now.

14 hours and 8 minutes until my copy is unlocked and man, am I excited. Too bad I have to work the thursday as well as social commitments, but even that may not prevent me from pulling a midnight to 4 am gaming session just so that I can finish the Origin quest.

Oh, it's good. The plot is undoubtedly inspired by Martin. The graphics are not super, but that's my only bitch and if that's you're main criteria for judging games you've got problems anyways. Still getting used to the menus and whatnot, and it's a little jarring switching directly from Oblivion to this. Seems like it will be a lot of fun.

Does it have the Oblivion problem where it takes 14 hours just to create a character that isn't so ugly that it would make babies cry?

Nope. The sliders are pretty friendly. Think Mass Effect rather than Oblivion. It is however hard to create the epitome of hawtness. You won't mind, seeing how often your character is hidden beneath bloody stains and splatters.

You can try for yourself with the free character creator (available as demo on steam).

Ok - not going for the eptiome of hawtness to be honest, I'll be playing a bloke anyway. Just didn't want an outright mutant!

Men can be hawt too, I should know, I am -_-
All kidding aside, you're not going to look like a mutant, unless you try really hard to look like a mutant.
The tattoos are rather freakish and help, though.

I took yesterday off to play this game.

Om Nom Nom Nom.

I am 10 hours into it, and am thinking I might be finally scratching the surface.

I have 7 party members besides myself. Including the Rock Golem you get for pre-ordering, and he is hilarious. My one gripe, I'm still using the F***ing starter robes as my wizard has found no upgraded ones.

I don't want to spoil the story for anyone, but so far it seems about par for the course for what you would expect from Martin, as RLY noted previously.

Also, returning to the mage tower, and all that goes with it is just completely amazing. Like wow.

I haven't seen any of the items I got free for preordering. I hope I just haven't got far enough yet and they will show up, and there's not something shady going on. Give me the loot!

And it's easy to make a decent looking character, but it seems like in fallout it is easy to make one who's middle of their face seems sunken in if you're not careful.
