Explain this to me. You see someone who is new to the site and is obviously a little confused and requires some guidance and rather than assist you offer smart arsed comments. I bet you slow down for car crashes.

The negative rep thing was clearly outlined, some of the other things my tiny pea brain wish to clarify weren't.
And although in retrospect the negative rep may have been a bit harsh I had made it clear that I wanted assistance to avoid situations like this. It was obvious I was getting frustrated. I tried to emphasize this in an over the top absurd comedy way and look what I get back? It would't have mattered who replied, all anyone had to do was say "Hey what's up? What do you want to know?"
Its simple courtesy. That's all I'm saying. And I did post it in the new members thread, not like I'm trolling, in fact I'm very anti-troll! ( Although in all fairness the ones who live under the bridge and harass the goats and the ones from Labyrinth aren't all that bad when compared to say Tolkiens Cave troll which is, if I may say, a thoroughly bad-hat!)

Anyway, I'd like to move past this, apologies for my potential ignorance and offer to counter the bad rep!

The thing is, you never clarified what you don't understand. Just saying "waaaah, I don't get it " repeatedly won't get you anywhere.

This is the internet, and while people on here are usually happy to help, when you just storm in and cry in several threads without stating what the matter is you're bound to get a fitting reply.

I don't care about the rep, do what you want. The post I replied to was the first post I ever saw from you, it had nothing to do with Malazan and seemed like either an arbitrary, spazzy cry for help or an arbitrary, spazzy, attention-whoring joke. In either case, my reply was suitable. I was not insulting you or provoking an argument. I am not sure why you've chosen to sour such an otherwise warm thread. I don't want to argue about it further. Puck is right, if you have a particular concern or want some info, you should make a thread in the pertinent forum that includes specifics.

I have to admit; it was pretty tough getting into GotM. Mainly due to my poor vocabulary and inexperience on non-single-protagonists ( English is my third language)

I'm glad that this is my first exposure to high fantasy, and sad at the same time.

Hello People. I'm pleased to meet you all. Been a long time reader of Malazan (Well I remember picking up Gardens in 2004 or so, though It took me a while to get back to it after being confronted with the dense text). However I did a reread last year and flew through all of the novels, and arrived just int time for Crippled God and Stone wielder. Been an absolute blast recently as I start a new reread from Gardens onward after noting that ICE's new book is coming out in the next few months. Hope to see more of you and post out their theories with you all.
