Afternoon Ladies & Gents,

Known this site, and visited, on many occassions over the years and esp for the teasers and pre-print chapters :-)

Read everything of SE's.....at least 3 times each. Being a collector of, so far, 600+ Fantasy & SF books this is, without a shadow of a doubt, THE finest series written in this genre! ....but you all know that right?~;-)

Here for purely selfish reasons; to get artwork together for a tattoo design. Will pop that thread in shortly and look forward to getting your advice and help!

Cheers,

Hi, just joined (obviously). I found this site earlier, but wanted to hold off on actually joining and participating because of spoilers. Just finished the Book of the Fallen.

Hello.

I'm a long time Malazan fan. I've read all of the books twice, excluding The Crippled God, which I've only read once, and recently embarked on my third journey through the Book Of The Fallen.

I don't think the series is perfect---nothing in this life is. But, man, though it may not rate a perfect 10, it's gotta be at least a 9.5. Truly awesome, truly epic, one of only a handful of works that I intend to reread over and over again until the day I die.

Perhaps the strongest praise I can give to Mr. Erikson and The Malazan Book Of The Fallen is that I truly believe it will still be in print and widely read a hundred years from now. I wouldn't say that about much contemporary fiction, that's for sure, but this series is really something special.

Wow, a lot of new people, welcome.

HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

well... er... Hi...
I'm just happy to find you... I've a lots of question...or not... I've begin the Malazan book of the Fallen in january... I just finish Reaper's Gale and I'm begining Toll the Hound...
I'm in love... With this world, characters, people, races... Crying, laughing at the same time...
My first pasionnate love was, still is, The Lord of the Ring and, in another aspect, Dune. I have a durable relationship with the Fionavar Tapestry... But now?

Anyway, I'm glad to find this forum, making me feel like I'm a little in the book, again...

Oh and I apologize for any mistake, I'm not english speaking (or writting for that matter) so feel free to correct me... I'm not really good...
"And whos is Hood?"..."The Lord of Death, and yes, he has balls"

Hello to all.

I recently came across the series and have read Gardens of the Moon, Deadhouse Gates and House of Chains for the first time. I have to say that I have been hooked! The series just keeps getting better and better. The breadth of characters and level of detail compares to any other fictional world i know. What I love most about the series is that it is not too naive in the portrayal of characters(like the Sword of Truth series) or wantonly depraved(like The Song of Ice and Fire series) . The story manages to find that spot in the middle, which is where most of us really are.

I am excited to find so many other people who are fans of the books and look forward to interacting with you guys in the future.

Hello everyone.

I've been a fan of the books for about four years now, but just recently found this site. And befor you ask, Odd IS my real name (though I might as well have got it in the Malazan army) and it's a ancient Norse name meaning "something pointy and sharp" (like an arrowhead or the tip of a nail).

In the way of Tarvu, Hebbo!

This series sucked me in just last August. I'm all caught up with the main thrust so-to-speak, just waiting for the rest of the B&KB series and Cam-Cam's "half" of the story.

I've been lurking about this place for awhile now, and although I'd registered some time in the past, this establishes my first foray involving public interaction (here, not abroad).

Hello everyone

All though this technically is my third post on this forum, I'm still pretty new :D

I'm one of the few (as far as I can tell) danish readers of MBotF, so I'm looking forward to meeting 'equal minded' people :D I've always been an avid fantasy reader, but I must say, this series have blown me away.

Anyway, there's the introduction. Glad to be here.

Hi, this is the first time ever that I've joined a forum. It's a bit daunting as I have no clue how to do this. I've started reading the books since last year June (I think) and they are awesome!! I love the characters and the story within a story within a story within..... you get the idea. Anyway, I'll try this Forum out and see if all my confusion regarding this series will be resolved. Just to let you guys know, English isn't ,my first language so you might find my use of grammar and spelling a bit annoying at times.

I've only recently started reading MBotF (currently half way through the bonehunters) and i am already taken with the series. Signing up to an epic fantasy forum is also a first for me so i don't really know what to expect. So yeah...Hello all.

You should read Memories of Ice, some things further on in the series won't make all that much sense if you don't. Also because it's awesome.

Hello from Melbourne, Australia. I am a long time reader - first time poster here. After waiting years inbetween upcoming TWoT and ASoIAF titles to be released, I thought I would take a punt on an odd looking book with a young man wielding a sword with lightning coruscating from it. (yes i judged a book by its cover ) I am glad that I did, because I fell in love with the world of MBoTF, can't get enough. I am on a full read-through now that, The Crippled God is out. I have basically been traulling for tidbits of info as i have been reading, which has helped me fill in the blanks (the shit i missed the first time) :(

ICE's works are awesome too, still to read Stonewielder.

thats me in a forum nutshell. So dont be shy if you are from my neck of the woods, say hello, it is always good to talk to like-minded readers
