Welcome to all the new people, we have a fair share of Canadians here and not all of them are weird, either.

But we hate them all with equal fervour, regardless of how little weird they are.

+ rep to Bryn
Welcome noobs! Im sure I will see you all around. Pay close attention to the plus and minus symbol in the lower right corner of my post. If you click the plus symbol, you will recieve a pm stating the secret location to the password for a computer program that will tell you how to win.
Clicking the red minus symbol, your computer will crash, so be careful!!
Also, this only works on posts that have been posted by me.

Hello all,
Although I have ostensibly been a member for some time I have finally logged in and made some posts.
I think I am up-to-date with all the Malazan books with the exception of the Laughter KB&B Novella.
I have just finished my Ph.D. on analysing Genre Fantasy Literature (still waiting on a Viva date) and am currently teaching SF and Fantasy Literature in Edge Hill University, although I have taught other subjects.
I occasionally review SF and Fantasy titles for Vector and Foundation and am pretty much a lazy-ass bum.
So greetings and Salutations.

Ribald, eh? Nice to meet you.
No idea what Vector and Foundation are but I'll act impressed either way
Congrats on finishing your Ph.D. - that's something worth writing home about. You're probably the only 'qualified' critic here but don't think that will give you any leverage - just use big words and try to confuse as many people as possible

And you're not complaining, you're criticizing. It's a side-effect of being better than everyone else, I get it sometimes too.

You mother fucker! How the hell did you convince anyone that fantasy is worth analysing? Why didn't I think of that? No, wait. I'm writing about Liverpool, don't I? Haha!

"How the hell did you convince anyone that fantasy is worth analysing?"
To be honest, that was the easy part... the writing the Ph.D. was the pain in the ass... although I did get to spend a year reading fantasy novels and pretend it was for work

Hi everyone,
I've been lurking around for a wee while, and finally decided to join up, because thats what one does at 2am. Erikson's books are probably my favourite series ever and I'm waiting impatiently for my brother to cough up DoD as my (very late) birthday pressie. Hopefully I won't just post this and forget about my account like I did last time...

Hey Everyone!
So, I'm new to the forums. I've read up through Midnight Tides and am eagerly starting Bonehunters. I'm from the U.S. and am having a lot of trouble finding people who have read the books. I desperately need someone to talk to about all the crazy and exciting things that happen. So, here I am! Also, I love Goodkind bashing! I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to say in this post sooo .. hi everybody!

Hey guys,
Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm actually living in New York City now, but am from Michigan. Recently moved. I have been reading lots of Malazan books on the subway! It's a great excuse to read much more than I would normally.
