Greetings from Germany!

I just finished RotCG and now stumbled over this cool thing.
I´ve read all books (luckily I speak fluent english) except the Novellas which are damn expensive here in Germany (30 Euros for Blood Follows!).
I guess I´ll buy them anyway.

Welcome to the forum, NRS. I too, haven't had a chance to read the novella's. I have them pre-ordered though, for when Tor finally released them here.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Hello Ladies & Gents.

Spiridon Deannis at Your service.

Have been reading this series since 2004.

Has made ist difficult to read anything else in this genre ever since.
He really has raised that bar very, very high.

Hope we are up for some interesting discussions in the future.

Best rg,

SD

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

Welcome more new people. Enjoy the forums, if you look in the Other Lit section there should be plenty of recommendations of other stuff to read that is at least relatively near Erikson's level, if not quite as good :p

Hey all, I discovered this forum way back during those inevitable WTF moments reading GotM and have been dying to post here, but avoiding the site like the plague for fear of spoilers.

Just finished TtH last night, so I can finally hang around here. Looking forward to mining the wealth of insight that's on the board.

WELCOME!!! To everybody that has joined since I was on last which was I don't know how long ago but I guess I could try to remember if you really wanted me to but I honestly would rather not expand such brain power on something as utterly insignificant as that but alas i know people do like to know my every move and what i had for dinner (chicken-fried noodles) and what my latest fad is (tiny cupcakes) - it's hard being awesome you know?

I can veer into a Peach. Srsly.

lol. Finished up GoTM and needed moar. Couldn't find any of the books readily able, so I went on the net and saw that Wikipedia said that Midnight Tides' events took place before GoTM...So yeah, bought it. Had my mother on the phone, since I had begged her to go get it since she was near the bookstore that day.

I read aprox. 200+ pages of Midnight Tides before I went for vacations at my aunt's, managed to get MoI under the same logic that I got MT... But this time, A LOT fell into place. Finished it in a week, and in two weeks bought and finished Deadhouse Gates. Just finished it yesterday, and im twitching to get HouseOfChains. -cries- THEN finish MT...

Either way, I'm here 'cause I like the place... especially since Erikson actually seems to care about this forum, and checks it out! O: Damn. That says a lot, doesn't it?

Well, Yeah. :)

You from Georgia, Peach? If not, forget I ever said anything. Welcome! :)

I veer into an unconscious person.
