Hello everyone. I just finished reading The Crippled God.......I feel as though I've stepped into a void. I enjoyed it immensely. But now it's gone. And I find myself here, should we call this "Smileys". I enjoyed each of the ten books. Deadhouse Gates touched me the most.
So now I guess I'll go through withdrawls here. I understand it gets easier as you go. One more thing, I liked the way the story wrapped up but I wished for one more closing/beginning, Draconis, I thought that he would play a major part at the end ,purhaps with Korabas

Well, there's always Esslemont. And the Kharkanas trilogy (or book one of it, at least). And a reread. And a rereread.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Welcome Coldhands. I've yet to know what that abyss must feel like. The emptiness must be.... *shudders*

First off, I hope I posted this correctly. Secondly, hello everyone. This is an amazing book series, I just completed the "The Crippled God" and am about to start on the other books. I can't believe that it took until a year ago to find out about this series, but, at least I found it and am able to enjoy it at last.

And so it begins.
I've started the Malazan, and have quite a way to go, but its getting pretty exciting.
GotM was a great opening. I guess some people complain about pacing, but I thought it was wonderful.
DG, for me, was not as... lets say 'magical', as the first in the series. Not disappointing, but was missing some Wow factor.
Currently on MoI, and it is probably my favorite so far (about 1/3 of the way through).
I'm hesitant to explore any other topics, for fear of spoilers, but we shall see.

Welcome Wilshire! Concerning spoilers; My vast 2 week experience here has taught me to just avoid forums for the novels you've yet to read and you're fine. Spoilers are hidden with the spoiler tag. Occasionally people do give vague hints though...such as: "you'll find out how badass so and so is in book 7." Obviously off topic forums are, well, off topic so...

When someone does that hinting thing, give them neg rep full of cussing to show them it's not appreciated. Handing out neg rep like candy is probably the best way to make a big early impression as a tough cool person.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

This seems the most reasonable course of action.

Hello,
After hearing about this series from several friends, I finally purchased GotM. I'm anticipating a thrilling read and hopefully I'll be perusing the boards in the upcoming weeks of over reading and under sleeping. Until then!

Welcome all you new Malazan fans. Hope you will enjoy the books as much as the rest of us. Be aware that you may find it difficult afterwards to find any decent reading material. The benchmark is going to be set sky-high

Hello people! This is my attempt to be social. I've been reading the Malazan Book of the Fallen over the last half-year (between many bouts of gaming). Right now, I'm on The Bonehunters and I've been loving every second of it. I would write more, buuuuuut I gotta sleep for work tomorrow '.
Me in a nutshell: Gaming, reading/audiobooking, anime, computers, introvert.
Some of my favorite characters are (not necessarily in order) Togg/Fanderay, Itkovian, Shadowthrone/Dancer, Helian, Sappers, Whiskeyjack, just about most Malazans, aaaaaaaand Shadowthrone. Because I like geniuses.
As for a favorite book? Well... It's really hard for me to decide :c
Anyway, I'm now off to bed. Have a good night everyone, and I hope to continue seeing you guys around :3

Hi, I'm new to the forum, I'm a long time reader of Malazan unfortunately stuck in the middle of Toll The Hounds (italian editor went broke ).
I'm getting back to where I left with the English version, which is far more word-efficient and straight-forward.
I'm gonna post soon, i humbly ask you to squeeze your brains and help me with that
Peace, The High King
