Hello! Started this one when it was mentioned that it was the reason why R Scott Bakker's Second Apocalypse was finally published, IIRC. Finished Gardens of the Moon and am slowly going through Deadhouse Gates.

Sky you are in for a TREAT!

Welcome to all the other new members. Ask questions, post opinions, and just do whatever. Have fun on the site!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Hello everyone. I'm only a few hundred pages into Gardens of the Moon, so I'll be gradually posting as I figure out how to avoid spoilers 😊 I can already tell I will want to read absolutely everything, so I signed up to find a reading order, which I'm grateful to have found. Looking forward to discussions in future!

This forum is pretty good in keeping the book topics spoiler free. Just make sure that you don't accidentally stray into general discussion topics or later book topics. In general, the book topics should not contain any spoilers beyond the ending of that specific book (unless the moderators were distracted by their death ray construction work and failed to obliterate the offender).
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Howdy folks! Just joined the other day. Kinda on my own in reading Malazan so I figured I sign up to be able to get some questions answered and throw out some thoughts. First time joining an online group so go easy. I've been reading the series for about 2 years in a rather unconventional way. I've read them in published order and have read the first 5 books, but with multiple re-reads of the first 4. So you can see why its taken so long to get as far as I have. As an accomplished fantasy reader I'm blown away by this series. And its been a joy to read the first half of the series multiple times. Now I feel I have that deep connection to the stories and characters. I am gonna absolutely smash the last half. Looking forward to this glorious run and to take everyone along with me. WITNESS!!!

Hi everyone. I'm a massive fan of the series, and after recently catching Gardens of The Moon on audio book I'm going to be reading through again.

I am rereading GotM and will continue rereading/listening to the rest because I love them... and it takes me several readings to catch on to all the things. I've joined this group to keep up with stuff and I especially love the art. Howdy from Texas

New here, I have lurked on the forums for a while and I just now decided to make an account. I have read the full MBotF, took me 5 months, loved it and now trying to get the Esslemont novels but none of my nearby libraries have it so I have to make a budget, due to my Highschool income, to buy them.

A noble pursuit.

hey there! I've been lurking for a while, but decided to join, because I'd like to contribute something, tooPosted Image.
I've been reading fantasy and to some degree science-fiction rather randomly all my life, but have only decided to explore the genre systematically about two years ago. Then I stumbled upon Malazan and read the whole series in a few weeks. I feel safe to say that Erikson not only completely changed my perception of fantasy literature, but also of history and historiography. The series is really amazing.
I am also a big fan of manga and Rock music.
And I'm from Germany, so please excuse any weird/wrong expressions.Posted Image

Everything was pretty clear, except in the English speaking world we call manga "Pervert Books".
They came with white hands and left with red hands.
