Howdy,
Been lurking as a vistitor for a bit, but my rule is never to join one of these forums until I've caught up on the series. Well, I just finished RG late last night (much to my wife's consternation at the bedside lamp), so here I am. I haven't ventured into ICE's book(s) yet though, but I figured I wouldn't be breaking my own rule if I didn't wait to catch up on those.

Welcome to the forums Pig Iron, thrinidir and Kulp Diet Hope you enjoy them, and we don't scare you too much
Kulp, it's a good time to start ICE's books now - the mass market paperback of Night of Knives was just released, and Return of the Crimson Guard is released in August, so not long to wait at all!

I just wanted to say HI real quick before I start getting lost in the forums and trying to catch up on what has been posted. A quick intro. Just got into the Malazan series a few months ago and I'm currently reading the Reapers Gale. This series is excellent. I've been recommending Erickson to all my friends and people at the book stores when I see them looking over the fantasy section. Only problem is it is hard to explaing the seires to people since I find it an unconventional fantasy series. The scope and detail of the series is just incredibly vast and ambitious! There is just so much going on it is hard to sum it up.I've been a reader of Fantasy since I was in Jr High and I'm now in my young 30's. Some of my other favorite Fantasy authors are (in no order): Raymond E. Feist, David Gemmell, George R. R. Martin, Robin Hobb, R. A. Salvatore, David Eddings and the list goes on. I also like to read Sci Fi and some fiction (thrillers and horror). I also like to play games and watch movies when I'm not spending time with the family.
One question I do have though. Is there a timeline yet for the books? I have not been able to find one but I have not gone through all the forums. Looking forward to discussing things more. Thanks

Hello all! I have tracked down this small corner of the internets and am glad I did.
I am, in no particular order, a professional miniature painter, author of RPG supplements for a major publisher, poet, essayist, author and old.
Was introduced to MBotF by a friend at Christmas, and have since spent quite a bit of money and time reading them since then. Just picked up RG this week, and will be back between the covers when I am done here.
I am spending some time catching up to forum life and will probably stick my 2 cents worth in on the writing areas.
