I'm going to be on my best behaviour to try to claw back some credibility since the BBQ, I'll look after you!

Claw back suggests that you had some originally. If anyone wants to mosey on over to the Hall of Fame and have a look at the famous thread I think they will see what I mean.

wait a minute, I was not just called a lightweight by someone who looked after me whilst I was tanked up, thats no..... oh wait, she's completely justified in criticising me, I'll let it slide, this time.

Mez, considering my expert demonstration of how to shoe a drunken mare, I tihnk I should be off the list, I'm far too pretty to be vomited on

If we're gonna Chinese, can we book a massive table at Tai Wu? It's the best buffet by far, but likely to be a bit busy that close to crimbo I would think...

I don't think you can book in to Tai Wu's buffet only the restraunt.

Plus last time I tried to get us to go there at least 2 of our members were quite snobbish about it.

Yeah, to add to the large array of things that I am snobbish about, Chinese buffets are quite high on my hit list. I can't bring myself to go into the Tai Wu buffet. I don't understand how all the Chinese people sit upstairs eating nice (and reasonably priced) food and all the white people go downstairs for less good grub. Far be it from me to dictate what everyone does though, the buffet format is convenient for our numbers and purse strings and I will sound like an even bigger twat if I continue Posted Image

EDIT - Although saying that, the upstairs normal restaurant of the Tai Wu is annoying me at the moment. I go there all the time with my sister and it is an indisputable fact that the Chinese people get stuff that isn't on the menu. They sit down, have a very short conversation with a waiter and before you know it, a load of weird and wonderful stuff arrives at their table and it looks delicious. We've been trying to get it and they either cannot understand us (what with our scally Salford accents in Manchester) or they are being willfully ignorant! It is infuriating.

It's true, I went for a Chinese in Scunny with our global sourcing expert Gunglong Wei (not a Scunny name Guanglong) and he said a few words to the guy in there and we got something entirely different from the usual MSG filled stuff. All very subtle flavours and fresh ingredients.

Give Nick Griffin a ring, I'm sure he'll have something constructive to add to the debate.

Look - I don't really care where we eat - I put out a suggestion because no-one else had.
If you native-type persons know somewhere that is good and will fit the bill in terms of budgets then please book it. I guess the Christmas Market sells more things than sausages? There's only one type of sausage that I like and it's not Bratwurst - so you can make of that what you will :(
