There was some awesome dancing from the girls, I was hoping to get Stone Monkey to do some 1980s body popping but he claims not to be able to dance.

Thanbks for reminding me, Hetan of my inability to find everyone - though I blame it on Cougar growing fur - he assured me he will not be having all of his bodily hair removed however.

A fun day with more branches removed and a piss poor bonfire

Now sitting in front of the fire with a nice riesling

Another Manky Meet, another hangover...

It was great to see all the familiar faces again and to finally be able to put faces to the new attendees. And meeting the respective other halves was also a blast; who were easily recognisable by their auras of saintly forebearance for the gaggle of t'internet geeks they found themselves among... :D

Toby now knows I'm not a figment of Cougar's imagination; which at least means the night accomplished something. Unfortunately I did not get to bust a few moves (or even throw some shapes) on the dancefloor. But I don't think the world is ready to witness my surrender to the terpsichorean Muse quite yet, maybe next year... :D
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. I definitely vote for the next Manky Meetup to be at Rodeo's place and we all get to wear cowboy boots and do line dancing in a Roadhouse with a country and western band singing behind chicken wire!

I just remembered pulling the hair of that guy who was dressed like a pirate! Did anyone see him from the front? I was going to ask if I could wear his hat but his visage was terrifying to behold.

Mal's exuberant dancing was a major highlight for me. I can just picture him putting on a private show for Hetan :D

I like the fact that Hetan is flipping Cougar off in the first picture.

That poor pirate was sorely abused by Mezla. Course he didn't seem to notice.

Ms Brood had a great time, thanks guys. So did I, although hampered by having to limit my drinking to much lower levels than usual. Got a few pictures to put up later, though the flash was a bit crap so most of them are impossible to see :D

OK, I'll start in medias res with the pics and leave all the talk for later. :D

A small disclaimer: Since I seriously lack photography skills, most of the pics I have on my camera were taken by Stone Monkey and Brood. Thus, I will leave it up to them to post some of their photos later if they want to. :D

The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

Don't worry Simeon it wasn't any better than any of the others, they've all been good. I have a particular soft spot for the one we did last Spring Bank as it was warmer.

And part 2...

I don't know why the pics get arranged the way they are in the post, but can't be bothered (read: have no idea how) to re-arrange them...

EDIT: Never mind, it worked. :D

The disgusted look on Mrs Cougar's face tells me that he probably does this a lot... And Rodeo's expression of horror is priceless. :D

BEHOLD THE MIGHTY MINGE!!! :D

Well, when I woke up today, that was a phrase I didn't imagine myself using....
