I liked it. I can't wait for The Chained God. Now I just need to sort through the discussions.
Anyway - my review of Dust of Dreams.

That would be 'The Crippled God' AFAIK.
I loved it, but it might have been even better if I had reread all the other books prior to reading DoD.

Just finnished and Im lost of words. I didn't think I was ever gonna have the same feeling as I had when I finnished MoI but I got it again. The book is awesome. Just need to...grasp the whole of it first.
The superfluous, that very necessary thing

I have loved this series throughout, but if I'm truly honest with myself Steven E has not hit the highest heights since DG and MoI. Sure, there have been moments of genius in very novel but I'm one of those who has found the last two or three books to be a little out of balance overall (too much amateur philosophising, for one thing; sometimes too many characters and storylines). Well, with DoD, Steven is back to his very best. This novel somehow manages to combine the driving narrative of DG and MoI with the more introspective elements of RG and TTH to produce an astonishing overall impact. The sense of all these disparate groups and individuals converging on one place to face a terrible unknown was brilliantly drawn. At one point I counted 12 groups converging at once - Malazans, Letherii, Bolkando, Kundryl, T'lan Imass, Udead Jaghut, Barghast, Shake, Snake, Gruntle and co, Setoc, K'chain Chemalle - and that's not counting individuals like Draconus and Icarium. The fact that SE managed to choreograph all that disparate movement to such a mind-blowing finale leaves me in awe. Roll on TCG.
