Good morning people.
Doesnt seem like much has happened since I left, other than Driss padding his post count
I kind of agree with Driss that keeping the SK around is useful in that it stops the scum from winning, but you have to remember it doubles the number of kills per night and the SK will be much harder to spot. We have conversations like this every game though, and they're usually a moot issue, it's so rare to out two different types of scum on the same day.

The SK's ploy, I would think, would be to seem like he is an RI, and hunt for killers. Eliminating non-scum would not be the no. 1 priority until much later in the game. However, the SK still has to kill most everyone else, so having him around is a double-edged sword. Sure, it keeps the scum at bay and is one extra set of eyes hunting for them, but you have a higher chance of getting bit in the ass. He won't be hitting anyone tonight, I don't think, so for this day I think it's useless debating over who he is. Scum is the priority for most, at least for now.

if we hit either scum or serial killer i will be happy. regardless of the mechanic that killers cant win while he is alive.
@emur - i do agree.

Yeah, the serial killer is still a killing threat, and even though the killers can't win while he is around, neither can the innos.
Hrm, well, I'll put a vote on Galayn Lord for now. Plenty of time left in the day, but day one can get pretty frantic, at times.
Vote Galayn Lord

I admit I did miss the bit where the SK only kills every second night. Hopefully that will only start tomorrow night, but we can't be sure till tomorrow morning. It seems most of you agree with the point I was making anyway.
GL's comment was a bit cryptic, but I think there's enough votes on him for the moment. I would also like an explanation of what he meant though. Also possibly of Ano's mooo thing. It could just be him screwing around but something about it doesnt feel right.

Yeah, I have no idea what all that stuff with GL was about. Could be a clue, if a ridiculously obvious one. Im gonna hold off on voting him though, and see if something better comes up. Korv is catching my eye - he was very antagonistic and defensive when called out on that serial killer quip. Could be worth a vote.

Ah yes, I forgot about that. It seems fairly innocuous on the surface. He did repeat it a couple of times though, which does make it seem a little suspect...

Like I said, it could just be someone being random in the slowness of the game's start, but it just seems a bit wierd.

Well, what else could it be? A code to another player? Seems kinda odd then that he would repeat it, thus possibly drawing undue attention to it. Other than that, Anno's just shaken his head like an old geezer and laugh at all the spam. I agree, it was a bit weird, but I don't think there's anything in it. IMO GL's post is far weirder, and more likely to be a code.

GL's post seems a bit too obviously scummy which is what worries me about it. Anno's certainly are strange as well as being annoying but again, it seems a bit obvious. I will hold off for now.
Korv has been around a fair bit so perhaps he'd like to explain his mushroom comment in response to GL?

Morning all, I'm back.
like many here, I'm puzzed by GL's first post and would like an explanation.
I'll avoid voting for him though, because i'lll be heading to work soon and will not be able to change my vote in all likelyhood.
i'm going to
remove vote
vote serc
to give him a little nudge towards participating.

Yep, Ruse is playing, and isn't contributing at all. Could be RL stuff, or just laying low.

I'm not going to be that optimistic, and just hope he asked Morgy for a modkill extension...

You need to not post for 36 hours to be modkilled, I think Eloth, so he's still got around 12 horus.

A little look at Bargy
He starts off very badly with his first post:
Vote Night! As D'riss replies, even suggesting it is not the done thing, and when called on it Bargy gets a bit over defensive imo:
The "fool" seems an overreaction to me.
Then the following passage between Anno and Bargy - both talking nonsense on the surface:
Both posting gibberish but is this some form of (rather crap) internecine exchange?
Then the post Kesso picks him up on:
And immediate uber-defence from Bargy:
...who then removes vote and buggers off. Even though the deadline is still some 30 hours away he feels he might not be back, possibly planning to lay low until forgotten
This is his last post for a while (still v. defensive)...
...until Korv slaps a vote on and Bargy comes crashing back in to defend again.
He goes into hiding for almost 12 hours and returns again in defensive mode, even though my post was a joke:
Note to self: Don't Mafia past midnight, or people will call you a girl when you leave.
I'm gonna do a re-read. I'll be around for a little while if anyone wants to chat.
A pop at GL, but then a few would like an explanation from GL, and a pop at Korv for being over defensive (hmmm, where have be seen that before Bargy?):
Then two posts about Anno's strangeness:
Ah yes, I forgot about that. It seems fairly innocuous on the surface. He did repeat it a couple of times though, which does make it seem a little suspect...
and:
..conveniently forgetting that he himself was posting gibberish with Anno, so he has tried to distance himself, tells us there is nothing to it and puts the spotlight back on GL.
Not the greatest case in the world (show me a day one case that is) but I am going to
vote Barghast
