As for the wesite of the chatroom, and sign ups...Maccy and I will send out a PM to everyone who is participating, or interested in joining us once we decide on a date. We don't want it flooded with people, and everyone has to be approved by admin, which makes for tedious work. Once we have a list of who's involved I will make sure everyone has the necessary info.

Fuck me, if I knew it was going to be a child's drinking contest, I would have signed up, I thought you were going to be doing a proper drinking event, where you'd consume more than a measly 10 shots over the course of about 6 hours. Arent these contests supposed to actually involve drinking reasonable amounts of booze? Sort it out, Apt, you pastry!

Well techincally TT at 15 minutes a shot we would be consuming 8 shots in two hours, not 10 in six hours. The fifteen minutes in between works well, the shortest I would go is ten minutes in between to start. We don't want this contest over with before it's started. If we're doing a shot a minute, I doubt anyone would last long, no matter what their drinking prowess! Think of what the transcript would be like!

Okay picking up on what's been suggested:

It seems that everyone is agreed it needs to be a Friday or a Saturday.

So far the only request for a specific hour was from Cold Iron, asking for the time being set for around 1 or 2 o'clock at night +1 GMT. I'm fine with that but then it has to be a Saturday I think.

Digecams are a bad idea since most of you are ugly and I don't own a camera I can hook up to my laptop. Plain old text communication via Macros site is good enough for us I think.

It seems that people are suggesting several different teams but also arguing that we can't have too many contestants. I suggest people try to make some "area" teams. with a max of two to three members. I'm guessing people don't want more than 8 or 10 players, or the chat will become too chaotic. Thoughts on this? I believe, so far, me and Morgypoo make up Team Scandinavia, but we need some back up drinkers.

As for alcohol intake, I suggest 40 milliliter/4 centiliter shots of around 40 percent alcohol (that's your average Smirnoff, or Jack D) as this, at least by danish standards is roughly the equivalent of one "unit" comparable with one beer. I don't know how the alcohol % and the Centiliters translate into Umerican "Proof" and ounces, I suggest they do some research.

Since there seems to be some moaning over the frequency of shot intake, might I suggest 4 shots the first hour, 5 shots the second hour, and from there on in, 1 shot every ten minutes? To be honest, knowing how awful this is going to get in the long run, people are going to regret speeding up, but it will certainly make it more DANGEROUS entertaining.

I should be fine with any of those weekends, so long as I have enough warning so I can go buy some tack and find a shotglass somewhere.

After midnight GMT may be a bit late for me, as it will be after 2am, but hopefully I can make it.

I think the easiest way to standardize the alchohol intake would be to take the volume of your shotglass (it will probably differ a little from country to country) and times it by the alchohol content so we can all get about the same ratio. Round here shot glasses are small (I think 25ml) so taking doubles of 40% alchohol gives a ratio of 20. 40ml of 45% is a ratio of 18, which is pretty close.
