I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

I'm IN.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I want to be in...but like I said last time, if there are enough signing up I'll sit it out...because I have had a lot of games recently and there are probably others who need it more than me...on the other hand if you need me then I will deffo be in.

(On the other other hand....after my recent showing you might not want me in... ;) :p :p )

Edit: This is Dynasty Warriors territory isn't it?

'Tell me, Tool, what dominates your thoughts?'
The Imass shrugged before replying. 'I think of Mafia, Adjunct.'
'Do all Imass think about Mafia?'
'No. Few think at all.'
'Why is that?'
The Imass leaned his head to one side and regarded her. 'Because, Adjunct, they are sheeple.'

Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that frisbee getting bigger?" ... and then it hits me.

Dynasty Warriors is one of Koei's games based off of the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms written by Luo Guanzhong, which is in turn based off a wide collection of chinese folk songs, operas, plays, novels, campfire stories and a frequently modified set of biographies written by a guy who served very late in the 3-Kingdom period... and this is the precursor to that 3-kingdom period

all the roles will be named but this is just Han vs Turbans, no 3 kingdoms until *after* Dong Zhuo deposes the Emperor! That'll be my much larger Romance of the 3 Cultdoms game which'll be much later...

but all the roles are still named.

Hmmm

I wonder if I should reread the beginning of 3 kingdoms to get a refresher then. For once, I actually have the books at home (libraries ftw ;))

As much as I am a Huge Dynasty Warriors fan. I am going to have to sit this one out. I have way to much stuff to do this next week.

Obdi you know that while Lu Bu was a great warrior he had the strategy skill set of a drone. You might want to instead be Liu Bei. Tactical and strategy genius. ;)
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

"pseudoscience and superstition will seem year by year more tempting, the siren song of unreason more sonorous and attractive. Where have we heard it before? Whenever our ethnic or national prejudices are aroused, in times of scarcity, during challenges to national self-esteem or nerve, when we agonize about our diminished cosmic place and purpose, or when fanaticism is bubbling up around us – then, habits of thought familiar from ages past reach for the controls. The candle flame gutters. Its little pool of light trembles. Darkness gathers. The demons begin to stir." - Carl Sagan

In, even though I'll be lurking more.

And I thought I told everyone to sign me up for every upcoming game anyway? Haven't I said that in like every thread related to mafia I've posted in lately? XD

I'll be in, if you're still accepting.

Haven't played for a while, and low tmdi will be nice.

It's nice to be back.
