I feel like we should wait, but Slum's point has enough validity to think we'd actually be doing him a favour if we picked for him.

Brood gave you permission to pick... so just do it. Will also give him right to blame us all for cheating him if the pick doesnt work out.
I think westbrook or jackson is highest on the board i saw.

No, I have to enter the results (every single one) manually at the very end in order, hence the order list on the front page for my benefit. Can't start and stop and start again, if I understand it correctly.
So, Brian Westbrook for Brood then?

He's ranked the 14th running back at ESPN... I think you can do better than that for Brood.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

See, this is exactly why I didnt want to pick for him - Daser suggests Westbrook, you say no - so I'll say "ok, what about Jackson/Gore/Barber/Brees/Fitzgerald/whoever" and someone will think there's a better option.
You have any suggestions?

well if you are supose to pick we shouldn't be telling ya what to do. i think if we go 24 hours or so with out a pick by a person they don't get skipped just get the highest rated person on the board at that moment and then the pick moves to the next person. Same with a live draft online if your internet drops and you haven't made a draft list for the computer to go off of, it just keeps giving you the highest rated person on the board and so on.

Oh, I didn't see the suggestion by Daser. I don't think it is a bad pick at all. I think there are better, though. Just do whatever. I would think about Drew Brees/TB/PM or Larry Fitzgerald to be honest. The stud RB's are gone, except for perhaps Stephen Jackson. Westbrook would be a good pick, just a little injury prone earlier in his career and I always worry about that.

Dang it is dangerous to post anything here. My earlier post was just random info not a suggestion.
What i wanted to say was " Caladanbrood gave you permission to pick, so pick 1." He didnt ask us just you.

I was kinda shocked when i saw this, i figured we would have waited more and figured out exactly how we were going to do the draft and rules for making a pick.

Better safe than sorry. Just wait til we get to round 10, and nobody really cares terribly. There could be LOOOOOONG delays then.

I've used a 24 hour "BAPAY" rule. After 24 hours with no pick that player gets the Best Available Player At Yahoo.
It's based on Yahoo's projected rankings, not the rankings from the previous year.
