Our draft broke the forum.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Then read TT's first post in the sign-up thread, Slum. That explains it. Also, just take AP and be done. ;)

If we are going by the norm:

Starters:

QB
RB
RB
WR
WR
WR/TE
TE
K
D/ST

On the bench:

Whoever you want, but you can only have 4 RB's and 4/5 WR's (in total, including starters) I think.

Edit: If I was you, I'd pick AP in a heartbeat. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Fine. I won't really be getting that into this once teams are set, anyway. Too much to do this semester.

For the first selection in the 2009 NFL Fantasy Draft, Slum picks Adrian Peterson.

Let the good times roll. ;)

Perhaps bold it, Slum, so that we can see who is getting picked easier. Squad make-up doesn't really rear it's head until you get to the bench, so that's anywhere from 4 to 7 rounds away. AP was the right pick.

Vengeance is on the clock.

I'm #6....better start thinking.

I don't know.... Pretty much every fantasy site I looked at had him as the #1 pick this year. I was only hesitant b/c a couple people had Peyton getting around 400 points and Peterson getting around 300. But I think any starting quarterback that isn't a total loser is going to get a fair amount of points. I know the QB I want, so I hope he's still around in 27 picks. 1st pick kinda sucks.

Deleted because Slum drafted and so my comments are unfair.

you only get 1 qb. and you get 2 rbs. if you can get rbs who put up 25 to 30 points a game, you are getting anywere from 50 to 60 points, were you only on average going to get 25 to 30 out of your 1 qb. ( unless you drafted tom brady 2 years ago and had him average like 70 points a game and rode him to winning your league! wait that was me )

As I said, it puts 4-5 QB's above all RB's, and you can't add the RB's together. In the first 2 rounds, you need to take the people who are going to get you the most points, regardless of what position they play.

The standard deviation on QB's is way lower than that on RB's. Granted upper-tier QB's are really good, but they aren't THAT much better than say AP over running back #12.

Edit: I would also note, that running back totals are fairly steady, whereas QB's are up and down depending upon the game.
