I would, but then I'd never play. :) But, it does get you in trouble, from time to time.

Edit: Also, the game started when I was already drunk... "FIRST!" mentality and all that junk.

That is like saying the game started in the morning.

Lol. I thought about starting the day out with a little mafia, but then decided scotch would make a nice breakfast and appetizer for the game. :harhar:

He/She was around a bit earlier today. Sorry, I'm boring. You can always bust my chops because pretty soon I'll be drunk again and maybe I'll be an idiot again so there's an easy lynch, day two?

Lol. You don't see me voting myself, do you? Although, evidently this alt is pretty infamous as well. I want to keep playing, though, so I just won't be an idiot.

Martyrdom's so last millenium, <;>

I hope Fener's not scum this game, njust so that we can break that irritating superstition.

Well, the fact that he isn't dead yet does something to help the cause. It had gotten to the point of just finding/wounding Fener night 1, no matter what.

Alrighty, here and caught up. That is one strange night, 4 deaths two of whom are scum. My first thought is 4 individual scum and we got lucky when 2 killed each other off. I'm not sure how likely that is though to get 2 scum dead. Perhaps 3 and someone decided to Vig Emurlahn Night 1?

The Okaros kill to me looks like someone wanted to kill one of the low posters who wouldn't be missed and it turned out they were scum hiding there.

I don't recall a lot of Sorrit and Korlat so will need to go back and reread those. Its WIFOM, but still handy.

For today, I like Eloth and Karatallid at the moment.

Eloth has gone a little weird on us after his vote for Fener and Fener calling him out on it. I dont' really like the way he has reacted to that.

Also Karatallid from yesterday and continuing on as Karosis has mentioned.

So thoughts on those two if anyone is still around?

I'll answer Eloth first, because I feel I have a better handle on his posts than Karat's right now. Strange. Confusing. All over the place. My mind is in two places, because this is Mafia and you never know anything: (1) he's inno who is just out of it for some reason; (2) he's scum playing strangely acting inno who won't get voted because only an inno would act like that. It's so overly bizarre though that I think (1) is more probable than (2), as of right now. He's starting to make his posts far more lucid, especially when I was talking to them about his posts for a bit.

I'll have a gander at Karat's posts.

took a look at Eloth, i tend to agree that he's probably a disinterested RI.

playing way too loose for any sane scum.

As for Karat... I'm not getting much of a read from him other than that he is confused. The one thing that really stands out is his confusion over symps, but when I go back and look at the the time-stamps are all confusing from my time zone, so It's kind of hard to realize how much time has gone on between the different conversations on possible symps. They could have been real close together, which isn't scummy, but very far apart would be muddying the waters a bit.

As for his vote... Barghast was town, but I can't fault the same process that almost netted Emurlahn. In fact, the only difference between the two was that Emurlahn actually played a bit more aggressively than a typical day one scum might.

Karosis, if you are still around, perhaps you could give a quick two liner about why you suspect him for me if my above analysis hasn't discussed it?

Edit: Well, there goes that.

I got about 45 minutes or so left in me before I'm done for the night. Anybody around?

I am back and you may all tell me how awesome I am. Should've gone for Emurlahn, but alas.

@Karosis - There's very little of value to find in the Barghast train. No one would have any interest in diverting the emu train because emu, through the nature of being a killer, had no allies.

So the reason why the barghast train caught steam is simply because he seemed the easier lynch to push through, or so I think.

anyways, my suspicions for today are Eloth and Kessobahn. The only people who can be confident in another person's innocence to the point of almost blocking a lynch on day 1, are either daft or evil.

I've done it myself as a killer in the past, thinking that defending an innocent instead of pushing a lynch (which would benefit the innos more) will make me seem more like a PI. It's a pattern that repeats itself, and that combined with their strange play, and kesso's very under the radar sort of game makes me think there's scum to be found

Well, I agree with you on how that would be if we had general game dynamics, Sil. However, there is good reason for scum to find themselves on that train as well, this game, seeing as how they have nothing to lose in lynching either other scum or inno.

Edit: X post.

true, but that's all it gives us. Scum might be on both trains. The whole symp thing is stupid and I'm very embarassed that I brought it up early on.

We can't really find scum through the lynch trains in this game outside of fitting their participation into a pattern that fits with a sum role. Basically, we can find scum through slips, general play, or finders.
