Yeah, but it was pretty unbelievable. There was no reason to reveal a retaliatory BP unless you didn't have it. If you did, you would stay quiet and wait for someone to try and kill you.

<--------------Was Gamelon and Inno Guard, as pretty much everybody guessed in SH.

Well, thanks for killing me as an inno, D'rek. Got your payback and it helped you win as scum! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Going to read SH now but I think I'm going to call this one a good game on my part even if we didn't win. The role transferral as it appears seems like bullshit to me and I played my last day in the game pretty well I think, except for maybe getting too impatient with people trying to drag it out pointlessly.

That was a town win if not for the stupid role transfer. What a fucking gyp.

Sucks most of all because I really, really, really wanted to win as Fener and break that fucking curse.

Unless I was trying to make it to the end with my BP intact. I knew that scum couldn't take the chance whether I had one or not.

I sent in a provisional on you at the end, but I got lynched. Since you still had the BP, it didn't matter, either way, though.

Anthras, can you clarify? If you are attacked, you retalliate by killing your attackers while also dying in the process? This could explain what happened last night. And it only works for attacks?

Korbas, it's too late in this game to just hope people get it right, IMO. Karat helped us get the right lynch yesterday. We don't have much other than quote blocks and reveals to figure out who is the scum.

Atrahal are you saying that you can STEAL abilities in addition to use 2 abilities?

Hmm, I was about to write a post how I didn't agree with all this revealing business, but it looks like whatever healers/guards/vigs we might have were smart enough to claim something else, and Fener's dance brought forth Atrahal's complete bullshit reveal, so I'm happy now.

I will try to explain myself further in a later post, but Atrahal really fumbled the ball on that one. He interpreted Eloth's reveal completely incorrectly, claimed it as his own, and now he's fumbling to recover, which might have had a chance of working if he hadn't claimed the same role name as Eloth.

I'll wait for Eloth to come back to make sure it's not mistaken semantics, but I am now 99% sure that Atrahal is scum.

Look, the ability works the exact same as the RIs basic ability, only you can do it twice. RIs can "take" a night action. I deduced that that meant they could obtain an ability from someone, somehow. ambidexters can "take" 2 night actions, which I assumed thus meant they could obtain 2 NAs from someone (somehow) in a single night. I would agree that they can use 2 NAs in a single night if they have seperate actions (but not 2 of the same action if you only obtained it once), but I would assume this is the same for everybody. what is the point in the killers absorbing powers from their victims if they have to pick? no killer is going to choose to guard someone if it means they cant kill someone that night, so I believe that anyone can use each ability theyve taken once each night, otherwise the system would be utterly pointless for anybody who started with a NA, except for BPs.

Anyway, thats what I believed. now PS has gone and "clarified" and apparently "take" means "perform", not what I thought. I thought "take" was the obtaining of abilities distinct from performing the actions. after all, what on earth would it mean that RIs can "perform a single action each night" as in their PM, which they obviously cant (for starters) cause they dont have any NAs! hence my confusion. Im sure if I had gotten a second ability I probably wouldve asked about this, but since I only have the one I didnt have any confusion to prompt me asking about it.

Sorry about getting bent out of shape by this post. It was a good defense, but you really only referenced what was said on thread. I saw "PS" and a bunch of quotes and assumed the worst. I saw this long-ass post and everybody saying, "well, I guess that makes him PI," and I didn't have time to read it carefully and react in a well-thought-out manner. I should have stuck with you, though, instead of moving to Fener. Just a bad move on my part. Good game.

Heck, I was surprised as you when people came back and said that made me VPI when it clearly contradicts what some people had just said a few moments before... (they were totally just skimming and didn't want to read my whole wall of text ;)). The key was that I was doing it all in reference to PS's clarification (post 899) and the RI pm given to us all at the start and didn't intend for any of it to reflect upon personal conversations with PS.
