Well my stupid goalkeeper is injured, so what do I do now...just rely on my substitute...or is there a way I can dump change him? I knew this would start to get technical.

You can still change him without penalty I think - I assume you're talkign about Van der Sar, and he's 6.5 so you won't have to sell other people to free up budget either.

You can make unlimited changes before the start of the season
Once the season has started, you get one penalty-free transfer allowed each week, and one wildcard you can play at any time during the season to change your entire team. All of this is done by clicking on the "transfers" tab on the left when you look at your team screen

I've just made some adjustments to my line-up. I reckon that, barring injuries, this team will stand me in good stead for much of the season.

Just kidding. I haven't been able to follow things as much as i used to when i lived in Ireland, so i have to make lots of guesses. Have no clue yet as to what my team will be. The auto-complete feature gave me a horrible looking team. Plus, I find it really hard to pick players i don't like, so i've never been able to pick players like Lampard or Ronaldo despite the number of points they earn.

Not the best first day, but still have four players to play tomorrow, so that's alright Better choice of captain and it would have been half decent...
Just realised, last season I got exactly 2000 points. Pretty funky, nice round total to improve upon this time out.
