Toc and the Barghast Spoilers from the end of MoI

In the aftermath of Coral, when Toc has taken Annaster's body, he is approached by a Barghast (from what Toc can tell) who wants to know if he's alright. From Toc's description, the Barghast has so many wounds that he's surprised he's alive and still able to walk around. Mallet describes Trotts in a similar way after Trotts accidentally stabbed him. Trotts died though, so I'm getting somewhat confused
We never get to know who the Barghast is at the end of MoI, but from what it looks like it was Trotts. 1: He had the same severe wounds. 2: Trotts is a Barghast. 3: Toc didn't know the Barghast who approached him, and from what I've read earlier there hasn't necessarily ever been an encounter between the two of them. So what I'm wondering about is: was it Trotts that Toc met, or was it someone else?

'None could guess my confusion, my host of deluded illusions and elusive delusions! A mantle of marble hiding a crumbling core of sandstone. See how they stare at me, wondering -all wondering- at my secret wellspring of wisdom...'
'Let's kill him,' Crokus muttered, 'if only to put him out of our misery.'

Ahh, thanks. Yes, I saw he was mortal again at the end in the scene with him, Hetan and his sister, just didn't figure out that he was the Barghast. I didn't think of the similarity between the Imass and Barghast structure at that time, so I was quite sure it was a Barghast as Toc said it was one. Thanks for clearing it up

ATTENTION: Confused Kruppe Has Something to Bray!
Kruppe understood that the Barghast was Tool, but didn't understand how/why/when this happened. Was there any explanation in MoI for Tool's transformation? He just appeared out of nowhere and he was suddenly mortal again.

He was the First Sword and surrendered his position and the powers of Tellann to Silverfox in the new Beast Realm. It's not something any T'lan Imass could do and become mortal, but, well, he is the First Sword, he's special.

When he threw his sword at Silverfox's feet, it was a symbolic way for him to say that he had finished with being the First Sword of the T'lann Imass and that Silverfox could free him from the Ritual

or that, though it remains to be seen whether returning to middle-aged mortal life is possible for any of the other T'lan Imass through Silverfox's release

well, he is the First Sword,
Genius D'rek.
I dont know if others realize that this is the joke the female Tlann Imass uses with Lady Envy.
I have seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter at the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain...."
