Not sure how this works but we're due for a mini. Here's the list of the next 3 from the mod thread:

Mafia 49: Vorkosigan theme <> Kurt Montadon (PST) <> TMDI 9-10
Mafia 50: Alan Campbell's Cohl's Shades theme <> Lisheo (GMT) and Morgoth (GMT+2)
Mafia X: Highlander-themed game with power absorptions <> Tapper (GMT+1)

Kurt is gone for a bit AFAIK so the next full game is the Cohl's Shades theme (I assume this is more Deepgate stuff?) by Lish and Morgy. So are they up to run it? Otherwise, it's Highlander by Tapper.

The next MINI games I see in that thread are:

Mafia X.5: King Arthur Merc mini <> Bwgan(GMT) <> 16 players
Mafia 60.5: The Finders mini <> Obdigore <> 5 players

So what's the plan? Go for Cohl's Shades, the King Arthur Merc mini, or something else?

I say we run Malazan Empire mafia, altless, where there are 16 players, they are teamed, 8 have kills 8 have heals. It could be the shortest or longest game of all time. :(

OMG, my game is nowhere near ready :Surprise: . So don't put that up. I need time in GD with an ahem *coughs and tries, unsuccessfully to make eye contact with....someone....anyone* expert, and I need a co-mod. Preferably from the other side of the world.

I like HD's idea...would be a laugh! :(

lol @ this. I could prob run my shelved cult game, except I dont really know how busy I will be next week. So I will need a co-mod who wont mind picking up a little of my slack.

Is it a Mini? We've had a lot of cult-faction stuff games, I think people want a nice short mini.

Mafia X: Alt146(GMT+2) a mini, either regular or a mini cult game

I'll help mod if you want. I think I need to take a one or two game break from playing after my triumphant victory.

edit2: The Dethy game takes only an hour or two to run so while definitely fun, I would say it should be run concurrently with any other Mini.

Probably wouldn't be hard to whip up a fast theme-light mini, but going into the weekend not sure how many people would want to play, esp if we can start a new full game on Monday (probably not possible to get a good mini over the weekend and if we do a mini on Monday we are stuck not having a game to run when it finishes unless people want to start it in the mid of a week.

Tis indeed a mini. 12 players, 2 factions vs town. Alien mind controllers loose in a secret military base :( I could maybe whip up a M&P game but I got no idea for themes or anything. If you are struck with inspiration I could help you set up a game of your own ;)

Well I don't really know the protocol around here. There's obviously a list of games... but sometimes people skip around in that list due to availability and such. I think if you have potentially limited avail next week you probably should just hold the game simply because last game was factions and the game before was scum v cult v town.

Should have a nice short theme-light mini like Jihad IMO.

Oh that's easy enough. Only takes 9 players.

I also had a theme-light idea based on the nursery rhyme The Queen of Hearts:
The Queen of Hearts, She made some tarts All on a summer's day. The Knave of Hearts, He stole the tarts And took them clean away. The King of Hearts, Called for the tarts And beat the Knave full sore. The Knave of Hearts, Brought back the tarts And vowed he'd steal no more.

Basically would be a 13 player game, each person assigned a card (ace through king), scum v town setup, lots of killing, designed to run quickly.

edit: I also think they're running a TF2 mini over on modcraft, too, so I'd hate to be copycatish so soon to their game.

Protocol is to try stick to the schedule, but it's not set in stone, especially where minis are concerned. A M&P game that's very short or a funky short game like Obdi's finder game or DiB's dice game would be the best bet. No problem with keeping my game on the shelf, just tossing ideas around.

Oh, don't say you are going to make me wait until Monday...I am sure you inventive people can whip up a mini...no need for themes or even alts...and I bet there will be enough players...even if threats are required. Look I'm starting to get the post mafia twitch already and as we all know there is only one cure....moar mafia.

Of course, I'm also tossing ideas around. Just trying to find a solution that doesn't hugely delay a full game from starting next week. Maybe if a game could start tomorrow and end by Tuesday or even Wednesday that would be good.

Of course, I'm also tossing ideas around. Just trying to find a solution that doesn't hugely delay a full game from starting next week. Maybe if a game could start tomorrow and end by Tuesday or even Wednesday that would be good.


I think opening signups earliest Monday morning GMT would be best, else poor DK will need to go into mafia rehab... But not later than wednesday, else the game will start over a weekend.
