My love of bacon is reaching international level... A couple of weeks back a friend of mine from the States wrote to me on Facebook saying that she had found a Bacon Bar in a shop. And yes, it is exactly what it sounds like, bacon and chocolate in a bar. Instantly excited, I asked her to send me one and provided my address. I didn't hear from her until two days ago saying that it was on the way!! This morning, it arrived.

I cried. I'm not afraid to admit it, it was such a beautiful moment. The only problem now is, should I eat it or just seal it in a glass case and set alarms round it so I can just look at the beauty... Once it's gone, it's gone...

I hate dilemmas...

I am now insanely jealous. Forever.

Also you are a fool and should have asked for two, then ate one and kept the other behind glass for emergency baconing.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

A friend would inform you that bacon bars were available.
Only someone totally besotted would send such valuable cargo across an entire ocean .............

That is superb. All they need to do is remove the chocolate, and you've got the ultimate snack right there.

Fools. Google is your friend...

"$7.50

Breathe…engage your five senses, close your eyes and inhale deeply. Be in the present moment, notice the color of the chocolate, the glossy shine. Rub your thumb over the chocolate bar to release the aromas of smoked applewood bacon flirting with deep milk chocolate. Snap off just a tiny piece and place it in your mouth, let the lust of salt and sweet coat your tongue.

Mo's Bacon Bar: applewood smoked bacon + Alder wood smoked salt + deep milk chocolate, 41% cacao

3oz.

Consume within 6 months "

be sure to read the 'Inspiration' link... it's bacon pr)n... I'm not sure whether I

OMG! I can't believe it! I have to get one of these, it's like the ultimate combination. You have to eat it Tiste, no question about it. Fram the box afterwards if you like, but the bar must be sampled! You'll have to report back to us of course once you've finished devouring it.

Am I the only one who thought that Tiste was refering to some fancy kind of eatery, specialising in Bacon?

You know like a drinks bar, only instead of all kinds of alcohol, it would serve all kinds of bacon.

This would indeed be a man-place.

I too first thought of a like buffet of bacons, or a place where you could order different bacons off a menu.

EAT IT! EAT IT! EAT IT! EAT IT!
That's how bacon likes to be treated!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Normally I would consider mixing chocolate with anything other than wafer or fruit a travesty...but this...this is...I am speechless...You must eat it Tiste and let us know how...

actually....are you in Cardiff at the moment....? :snigger:
'Tell me, Tool, what dominates your thoughts?'
The Imass shrugged before replying. 'I think of Mafia, Adjunct.'
'Do all Imass think about Mafia?'
'No. Few think at all.'
'Why is that?'
The Imass leaned his head to one side and regarded her. 'Because, Adjunct, they are sheeple.'

Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that frisbee getting bigger?" ... and then it hits me.

Yes I am, so you stay away, seen as you are still my anonymous and faceless stalker... *looks around anxiously*

Brood, yeah of course I will do th... *breaks up laughing* sorry, I couldn't keep it up...

OK, just had the first bite... It's... interesting. I quite like the salt and sweet combo, but the chocolate itself is bog-standard milk chocolate, so it's not spectacularly great... however upon second bite I like it more! I am going to enjoy this. :p

I want one of these in every city in the western hemisphere. Immediately.

I want them to be open 24 hours. To have a menus consisting entirely of foodstuffs involving bacon, and a separate bacon menu with suggested pairings and explanations of the origins and flavourings and portion sizes and styles of prepartion. And i want each one to employ a duly acreditted sommelier-du-bacon.

Make it so.
