Very cool endeavor! I love me a good slice of pizza!

Best of luck with the whole enterprise!

Also, Malazan members get to eat for free, right?

As I said before, anyone with a basic knowledge of web-based applications (read 3rd year computer science student) could create a much simpler/more specialised system with php, java and mysql that could email the store or put alerts on a store back-end. To host a forum or something similar would be a very inefficient way of doing things.

I'm sure this is true, but this would be an investment, seeing as how frook inc. would have to hire someone to do said programming, if neither he nor his partner know someone already fluent with php, java, or mysql. Throwing up a forum would be the cheapest way I could think of to implement online ordering seeing as how frook and partner could do it themselves and not have to hire a programming.

I will also admit to skipping a few posts in this topic before I posted, so my bad for missing yours, haha.

I went to one of the few Perfect pizza stores left in England, all the rest have been transformed into Papa Johns from what I've seen. I had a pan pizza which was vegetarian and tasted quite nice. Onions, green peppers, olives, sweetcorn with extra cheese. My partner lives in the same village in Kashmir as the owner and he promised to give us a full step by step into their dough making process, which is a good start as any. This was in Aylesbury, a big town near that cesspit Wing, and home to the whisperers of depraved ideas :p . The garlic and herb dip was not as good as Dominos one.

*drools* Perfect Pizza! There's one in Brighton still, right near my student house, that we occasionalyl order from. They do AMAZING pizza, the only problem being that it's pretty much the same price as Domino's and Dominos give 20% off for online orders, plus the gf favours it. When she was away I always got Perfect Pizza though.

Crucially, the BBQ sauce they use instead of Pizza Sauce on their BBQ pizza - DIVINE. Nick that, replace the chicken with steak slices, keep the onion and maybe the green pepper (experiment with alternatives, too much pepper just overpowers other flavours), and you have yourself a pizza made from pure win. :)

Please send the Perfect Pizza man my regards and tell him I LOVE HIM. :)

Oh god, I forgot about Perfect Pizza. I used to love those damn things, they were superior to all other takeaway pizzas, and now I can't even finish one without feeling too ill to continue. FUCKING LACTOSE INTOLERANCE

I AM CRYING NOW FROM MISSING PIZZAS
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

They do if delicious pizzas make them ill, no matter how much they want to eat them. It makes me far more depressed than angry.

Well, if there is one thing that would make a robot cry, I bet it's not being able to taste an awesome pizza.

Hehe, that's why I suggested getting a student to do it.  Most Computer Science departments have systems in place to put people with small jobs in touch with students looking for some part time work.  The system needn't be hellishly complicated, just a couple of pages to let the customer enter their details and select the pizza that they want.  It shouldn't take more than a week or two to put together and unless students in England are very different from the ones here they could probably get the work very cheap if they offered to give him free pizza for a week :pirate:

The forum thing would work, I just see it being a little unwieldy.  A slick and efficient ordering system would definitely be a plus for the business.

I think the forum idea is actually going to be worse for business than not having any online service. It's going to look bushleague, which will make people shun your pizza. I think paying to get an actual website, no matter how rudimentary, is as necessary a business expense as, say, ovens.

The forum thing practically demands fake orders. High risk of time/resource wastage.

- Abyss, does like those phone systems where they just repeat your last order...

Hello guys. Its been a busy couple of days. I have been neck deep in Estate agents and it was all a no go but to day I met a guy who knew a guy that knew about another guy who wanted to sell his shop. He is desperate to sell, we are desperate to buy. My partner pretended to be the mediator and I pretended to be mildly disinterested...which let me tell you is difficult to do if you're tearing at the bit. The place is a tip, its disorganised to the point of being silly. the layout is terrible and it needs more than just a lick of paint...but, they have everything and I mean everything. Pressure fryer, grill, oven (a bit crap...but), two extractors, fryers, a tandoori oven fridges galore...basically everything we need to set up. And we will be getting it for a shade over a song, it is within budget and its all good.

right, its late so i will do loads of responses tomorrow but here are some pics of my possibly most likely soon to be mine place.

Isn't it funny how you can go anywhere in the world (the western any way) and your local grill/pizza/kebab place always looks the same?
