Meanas wouldn't have been lynched. Kaschan and HP were the only people stupid enough to vote for him. Unless Kaschan is your infected, I'm pretty sure he's the killer and not Barghast.

If Kaschan is infected and Barghast is the killer, then I guess he would have had incentive to vote for Meanas to get out of being lynched himself, but I think Eloth came on first, anyway, and probably would have been able to talk some sense into HP.
