No you are right, Cutter thinks that Vengeance should be to thin to be able to used by Andaris in the same way as Dragnipur was by Rake.
This however takes nothing away from the sheer awsomecake that is this painting.



I think Vengeance is supposed to be a daikatana.. that's how I picture it from its description anyway, when Cutter sees it with Rake's brother.

This was discussed rather extensively in the Traveller/Vengeance thread, and we came to the conclusion that vengeance is a narrow/thin double-edged sword, not a katana...I think...

Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

it's all awesome really, but one detail is bugging me... wasn't Grief supposed to be a thin, slender weapon?

as always you make me blush like a little girl with a stubbly ass beard, thanks guys, I've just finishes some sketches of some pics I'd like to get done I'll post them a.s.a.p so you can get your input in from the start for right now though I'll get answering some questions you had.......

Grimhilde - I went though TTH as much as I could to get as accurate as possible but there must be loads of bits and bobs I missed here's some of the design stages I went through

D'rek - as the pic says the guy who commissioned me was Howard Cairns (who own all the rights to the picture and the unwatermarked version as) as for the cost it's pretty steep at £100 per picture but he commissioned in bulk so he got 25% off, four pics for £300

Grief-shhhhhhhhh!!!! he's skipping or something

Eddie Dean - to be honest at the time I had no idea what the sword looked like I just tried to make it look like a sword forged by the same hand as dragnipure but opposite enough to look good for the picture

Night Hawk - is that like a normal katana except in the day hur hur hur (appologies for the retardedness of that answer)

Grimhilde - kinda like in vampire hunter D hmmmm interesting

Gothos - it seems so, thats a cool pic but I think he looks a little bit to tidy for someone who was washed up on a beach half dead

well I didn't draw that, it's just the closest existing thing I have to my view of Dassem... my point was the skin tone and hair style anyway.
also, you might note that Dragnipur and Vengeance weren't forged by the same hand :p
