Because I think we'll lynch wrong and give the cult another night to recruit. And if they've been successful every night, we're approaching d-day (tomorrow I think for wcs)...

If Fener is not on your team, how is it wrong?

If we're approaching d-day wrong = not cult.

And nice deflecting in the post above, btw.

And how can you be so sure lynching Fener is still not the correct move? Maybe I'm missing something here, but your unwillingness to lynch Fener is rather curious.

Because I believe his reveal, which I don't think is cult. And you've yet to refute my argument that you've been coasting, which you clearly have. The whole point of a pressure vote is to get you talking--and guess what you've been doing?

The point, to sum it up, is that:

You IGNORED my first accusation about your inactivity (less about not posting a lot during the weekend, but about claiming to be reading then doing nothing to comment/contribute), then proceeded to laugh off my second accusation and try to deflect it into a me-symping-fener deal when it's entirely a gamelon-is-pissed-at-lurkers deal.

Complete strawmanning melt down - lets take a look shall we?

Ok Tennes this is getting annoying. You have almost no posts, suggesting you're coasting, and since you've come back you've made 3-4 posts that do nothing but complain about how we're trying to read into character names for ideas about potential allegiances. Absolutely nothing regarding the game itself.

I'm out for a bit...I'll drop a vote to put some pressure until he actually contributes something.

vote Tennes

Haha, can you be more obvious?

Hey, I'm finally able to be on and comment on your crazy stuff, and now I'm suddenly coasting - that's just nice, real nice. I had an opinion on the book obsession, and Fener asked about it, and I clarified. You can't seriously mean that is complaining - it's called playing the game, in case you forgot. :killingme:

I still think it's dangerous to believe anything anyone says about the books implicitly, unless you can read it yourself. I'd chalk down the incessant book discussion to spam, if I wasn't afraid you'd smack me in the face. Oooh, I'm sooo scaaared.

I've been pretty clear on the subject - that I've been crazy busy - what else do you want me to say about it?

well, there can't be any doubt that you've been the most useless player so far, but whatever you tell yourself :)

No I agree, but I am here to remedy that. If Gamelon will allow it, and not smack me - oooh scaaary! :)

^^ See, not ignoring the subject.

If there are some old post that I have missed where you accuse me of something, please point me to it.

You completely missed the part where I asked why you were completely inactive before then, which you ignored. That has nothing to do with "having a life"...the issue is less that your post count was low but that:

a.) You claimed to be rereading but never made comments (suggesting the whole "hide in plain sight" deal)
b.) You proceeded to ignore me when I called you out on it
c.) You first laughed it off when I called you out on it again

No need to be intentionally obtuse.

a. is incorrect - I claimed I would try to catch up. I never promised anything.

And b and c is because you're an asshole, and I stand by it.

So you knew I was an asshole when I brought up the fact that you were extremely inactive (RL, fair enough, but people have used RL as fake meta defense before) so you proceeded to do nothing in response? And placing a pressure vote on someone who's been wholly ignored this entire game makes me an asshole now?

Hey, go ahead with the pressure vote, I don't mind. In fact, it gives me tons of information. :killingme:

Edit: just to add: I've been pretty clear about the fact that I've been busy, and if that makes me a target, then so be it.

You know, I gotta say I find Game's play style to be very strange. I mean in a faction game with a cult thrown in, you focus totally on the cult and believe a reveal. And then commit yourself to Fener's cause by defending him so very hard. Thats a very strange way to play in a faction game, hell I wouldn't symp my leader as hard as you have even if he was about to be lynched. Add in the fact that we don't have a full CF and can never be sure if we ever hit the cult, and your play is even more out there. I just don't get it. We may have hit the cult recruiter day 1, we have no way of telling. Bad play in my opinion, because if we do lynch Fener, theres a very good chance that you would be next, because it appears you have some inside knowledge (say perhaps, you are the leader of the Heshitte (sp?) and don't want to lose a team mate, or vice versa, hes the leader)

Your reasons for defending him so dramatically make no sense in a faction game.

Another way to look at it would be Game is the cult leader, and is fake symping a known faction member to

a. Keep that faction off of his back so he can keep recruiting
b. Get Fener lynched and get an extra night
c. Keep everyone confused and jumping at shadows

I do find Gamelon's play rather strange at this point. Perhaps he can explain what makes his belief in the reveal strong enough to be the basis of such a big argument?

the theory I guess is that since so few seem willing to go for Korlat, shifting the vote to Kessobahn might result in a lynch. I'm not averse to either as I've stated and I'll be online, albeit somewhat eraticly seeing that I'm at work, so I can change my vote as necessary up to the end of the day

Ruse drops by and never mentions Fener, and throws on a train vote number 3

View PostRuse, on Jun 9 2009, 03:25 AM, said:

Here only briefly I'm afraid.

vote Kessobahn

for the reasons I gave before, and because the vote on Korlat seems to have stalled.

Hoods path drops one,Korv agrees that HP's scenario of win win is a good reason, Driss drops by with no time left, casts L-1 and Emur swaps to give the hammer

Thats it. Now next day, no one seems to think Fener is a good lynch, curious that.

Just catching up, but had to comment on this. All I seem to have done is talk about Fener, and I replied about my drive by to Korv. Are you both just not reading the thread or trying to paint a picture that doesn't exsist? This sort of throwaway comment really annoys me, especially when I have already explained my actions. It's either damn lazy or a deliberate and disingenuous ploy.

I agree with this. I was (as I have said) grateful for the run down provided by Korlat, and Fener has seemingly added to our knowledge, but just as I argued in my case against Korlat, it shouldn't make anyone necessary. And we certainly can't take any of the information as gospel.

But other than Game and Tennes having their handbags drawn at dawn, I'm not sure what to think. I have to assume that Game and Fener are in a faction (unless of course Rashan's other intriguing scenario is right?), but then it seems equally clear that Tennes and Rashan are also buddies (possibly Korv as well...or it could just be that he and Rashan went to the same 'I'll read only the bits I want to' school - yes I do bear grudges :p ), so what does that prove?

Meh, there's still plenty of time. I am useless at maths so have no idea how close D Day is, but I guess the next lynch will be significant so I am not rushing to vote.

Edit: Meant to add I'm off to bed now. :) :)

Well, my case made a lot of sense to me when I wrote it a few hours ago. But, it sounds like people are inclined to feel I'm going off 'half-cocked' though. I don't know, if something more brilliant comes along I'll change my vote but this inclination by people to accept the word of the almost-lynched-fener is weird IMO.
