Because it takes place in China instead of Japan. Different Martial Art branches for different Countries.

In China? I didn't know that.

But still, the idea is just wrong. Change the name, at least. Kung Fu Kid or something. If you want to make a Karate Kid you have to stick to AT LEAST the bare minimum.

10 years from now we're going to be seeing Karate Kid, which will tell the story of a 57-year-old learning how to play soccer only to decide that soccer isn't that good and then he goes on to watch TV, because it funnier.

Haha not quite sure what the video was about or what it was advertising... Read "Lords of Chaos" though, quite an interesting book, though on the whole black metal sucks pretty bad...
