Honestly, if I was responsible for bringing this movie into the world, I would take my own life. I simply cannot believe a studio, upon seeing the movie, decided to release it. Crimes against humanity notwithstanding, they are contributing to the ruination of the film industry. I wouldn't be surprised if this went the way of Adventures of Pluto Nash, as predicted by Robot Chicken. It would seem...just.

Still, watching it makes you realise how good great films truly are, in the juxtaposition of how bad they really can become.

You have to watch it, if only for the scene where the Mega-Shark salmon-leaps from the Pacific to bite an Jumbo Jet...
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. This would be a cult classic, except for the DIRE end fight scene. I mean come on!!!

The best part of this film? apart from the sharks love of man made objects and amazing physics knowledge, would have to be them searching for an answer.

Adding different chemicals together, all multicoloured, and a comic look of disappointment when it changes colour. Then the -down face this will never work moment, then the one last try moment and the comic happiness when it glows. All done without any dialogue. i laughed. a lot. =>

Thanks everyone)) My Mum just loves all this bad horror stuff about monsters eating people so we absolutely had to watch it! But I think the "Black Sheep" is still unsurpassed! )))

Saw MEGA SHARK VS GIANT OCTOPUS.

And just for good measure MEGA SHARK VS CROCOSAURUS.

And now i hate myself and i want to die but only after i kill everyone responsible for these movies.
Even the monster vs monster fight scenes sucked.

These were not 'so bad it's good'. These were 'so bad it's an affront to life and the people who made, starred in, paid for and distributed these should be fed to sharks who are then fed to octopi who are then feed to cros who are then fed to more bigger sharks just to ensure that their DNA is fully repeatedly digested and wiped from existance' bad.

altho i had a good laugh at 'the shark just went nuclear'.

How were they compared to Sharktopus? I saw Sharktopus a while ago and for some reason I really liked it. It was clear that the movie knew that it was shitty and went along with it. I quite enjoyed it all though it made me weep for Eric Roberts career.

Not having seen Sharktopus, i can only speculate that Lorenzo Lamas + Debbie Gibson > Eric Roberts on the bad scale.

Unless Sharktopus went nuclear at any point.
