ok, i'm still catching up on the game, but... what the HELLm is D'riss doing?

D'riss/PB has been trying to be uber-aggressive to provoke slips from the killers, but he was being WAAAAY too obvious about what he was doing, so there was no way the killers were ever going to fall for it. So all he netted was pissed off innos, and then he made matters worse by going with the 'Stick to my guns' approach. Poor play, IMO - I agree with Kurt M to a certain extent - players are trying to read too much into things at the moment.

Sir Thursday

Mmm it was just a strategy I tried. Kept me alive all game to double votes later on. Not entirely sure it was terrible play if the killers had been at all in the discussion, but for this instance all it netted was angry-as-usual Kurt M :p

If I wind up getting lynched, it's because some of you have played this game WAY TOO FUCKING MUCH, and have no goddamned perspective any more.

There a lot of you who not only can't see the forest for the trees, you sit around masturbating while analyzing individual needles. This is why some recent Day One's have been so fucked up - someone points out the obvious, or expresses irritation at the way a player is playing, and blam! Lynched for disrupting the circle jerk.

I can totally understand his frustration here. This was much like when they just wouldn't leave me alone a couple of games ago, picking up, stripping down, analysing, and seeing the worst in every little thing I said, with the killers cheering them on the whole way. Adding insult to injury, Korlat's even on the ball when he said ages ago that he thought at least one of the scum was on his train - and yep, there's Gamelon, happily sitting there. And now Ruse has joined him.

I just don't understand what PB is trying to achieve. He's gone totally stark raving rabid bonkers - his accusations make absolutely no sense, which everyone there can see, but they all want some kind of lynch. And who are the two saying he makes some kind of sense? Ruse and Gamelon.

lol OOPS.

The problem was that I didn't actually make a slip - I made some rational points, admitted a mistake with one of my votes, etc. That, unfortunately, is what's called scummy behavior these days. But then ... so is exactly the opposite. Or anything in between.

And if one overly aggressive person jumps on it, then the scum will put a momentum-vote on at about four or five (fourth vote is perfect on Day 1 for scum to knock down Innos) ... and other people fall in out of laziness, without bothering to sit up and say "Hey, wait a minute, this makes no sense whatsoever." Because in my case, it didn't.
I finally have an avatar ... and it's better than yours.

Bubba really dropped the ball there...

when i thin about it its obvious tat d'riss is now BB.
The way he pushed to get me lynched is actually criminal....

Bubba is all for the tennes lynch so scum have this game if you ask me.

If i could speak i wanted to lynch tennes then d'riss, i think i could have convinced them....but hell, well done sixty with the timely silencing.

And "well done" bubba with the "timely" lynch...goddamn you dropped the ball there mate....ppffftttt

Yes....yes Iknow...........I promise never to check the the thread when I'm half asleep again.....fucking disaster.....

congratz to the winners! Haven't read the game so can't say a lot on what happened, but it seems both shin and PB acquited themselves very well! PB definately becomes a player to be watched... unorthodox and devilishly good :p

Whoops, realise most of our convo's didnt get CC'd to spoilers :p

Most of them were me telling PB taht we should wit to revel, since he was all for it from day 3 lol. And I might actually have giving him some pointers on how to play scum when discussing hypothetical things the killer might do at endgame :p

Heh, PeanutButta is making me feel bad for choosing him. I figured the only type of person who'd be pissed about having to be BB would be someone who did a shitload of work for team inno and then was forced to change sides.

If the situation were opposite and I was in PB's shoes, I'd be freaking out but loving it at the same time.

Sorry dude! :p

I can guarantee you that flooding the SH with PMs like he's doing, that means he's enjoying it to no end, no matter what he says :p

I'm glad I had the experience but I really did hate it at the time LOL.

Finished reading. Wow that was an incredible journey. I was pretty terrible through the start of the game and got red hot at the end with the emo cryfest.

Bent, I may not have taken the ship through the bulk of its journey, but I certainly brought it in to harbor safely. I want my win credit!

Good game to one and all!

Well, it's the final showdown. Will PB bring the Benses their first ever victory?

So the Benses have never won? How did the other games end?

Last time I was inno.

It was between two people.

We flipped a coin.

It said the other guy.

I argued for the other guy.

We hit him.

I got my card, for sheer luck :p

yup, me and Gavin were paired guards.
me and Grief got bored waiting for him to show up, so we lynched him.

As with your own assessment prior to the switch, it was between you, tennes and lio. I liked you and lio best, because I thought tennes would come off as the obvious 'safe' bet. And then Lio was the person I put the case down on, so I wifom'd that one too.

But, the actual reason I chose you in the end?

Because I judged that of the three, you would be the most likely to enjoy it. :p
You’ve never heard of the Silanda? … It’s the ship that made the Warren of Telas run in less than 12 parsecs.

I just wish I would've stuck with the NK of Telas. Then I could've bragged about winning the game without needing to switch. :p

I am bumping this thread to give public acknowledgement to Bubba.

I'm cleaning out alts for 105 and this time I knew to look at 'manage attachments'. Liosan had over a hundred of them. For this game.

Also, the SH password for this game is hilarious:
"Spoiler Heaven: silencerisbusy"

I got one of those the first time I helped a mod.

It's hard to believe you guys were playing mafia way back when. I'd seen it on other sites, but never thought it looked fun. On other sites, mafia does really suck, as just changing a few rules makes a huge difference. Like on dragonmount, they have like 72 hour days and 48 hour nights and they don't use alts. The alts is the funnest part, and I wouldn't play such a long, slow paced game.
And when you're Gone, you stay Gone, or you be Gone. You lost all your Seven Cities privileges. - Karsa

you're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be...
