Hey! Thanks for the password!

Ok, without looking, my guess is that Hood's Path is Big Ben, and D'riss is Uncle Ben.

Now to take a look to see how amazingly right I was......

Ok, took a look, so I would have killed a roleless innocent and one of a lover pair. Excellent. On the ball as usual. I have to say the two scum are keeping mighty quiet. Then again, why should they say anything, the innos are doing very well looking in all the wrong places at the moment.

Grief makes a completely offbase altguess:

Telas said:

D'riss is Morg45.

He may be scum, he may not. It's not easy to tell, cause he sometimes plays very scummy even when not scum.

Bugger.

Sorry to venge btw...

And then changes his provisional:

Telas said:

Find on D'riss please. If D'riss is lynched, Emur.

I am gonna kick myself if emur is scum and I investigate D'riss, but then if I leave D'riss I will be uncertain all of tommorow, which could end up worse.

Think i'll investigate emur later if not tonight.

Korv gives me wierd gut too, as does sil a bit, and gam to a lesser degree. May go back and look at them tommorow.

People are throwing my name about as RI which is good.

Goodnight.

is almost over.

Veng (rashan, you were right) asked for a modkill.

Right now, SIlanah seems slightly scummy, but HP seems very off to me. Am thinking about viging him tonight. Thoughts?

PB makes the same mistake about BB that I did, and Alt corrects him on it:

I think we should set up a secret password for each other so that if we ever lynch Big Ben that we can send each other a message indicating that we are still the same person.

If you send your password and I don't respond with mine, I'm now scum and vice versa, and we can use our earlier posts to CI ourselves and win-lynch.

Hehe, that's not quite how it works in this time round. Only one of us would become scum, the other remains inno. To be perfectly honest if I become scum I will lie to you... I hope it doesnt happen, last game two of a pair both were convinced that their partner had become the killer and got each other lynched. If this was a FM game it would be a good plan, but it wont work this game.

I do have a faint memory of trying to get Grief lynched when he was my partner....but that had little to do with me thinking he was scum :) Joke, Grief, joke!

I know it's so easy for me to say this sitting up in spoiler heaven and knowing the answers, but...come on! Korlat is their suspect?! Are they serious? Korvalain especially, coming on, saying Korlat had made some major slip again - this is the second time they've held Korlat up for some issue with syntax. I despair.

And are the vigs seriously going to use their kill on the first night? I know I'm like the last person who should be giving anyone advice, but even I wouldn't be that trigger-happy.

Also, I noted there was some discussion on here earlier about the difficulties of playing a killer. It's my favourite role! Probably because I feel the least lost then, and you get this wonderful feeling when the silly innos lynch their fellows :)

Sir Thursday

well, I would've lurked heavily, as i'm away most of the day with no inet, and i get home round 11PM GMT, and not a whole lot of people are talkative at that time.
Plus, it lets Shin try himself out as a killer.
so, no real regrets. I wouldn't have been into the game much, and i'd miss all the important stuff.

The vigs have two kills between them according to one of the early posts in Spoilers, so I guess they figure they only need to save one for later. Have to say though, I'm surprised that Obdi and Bent would decide to use one on Night 1. Chances of actually hitting scum are so low, after all...

I had a string of killer/killer-like roles at one point, and I know what you mean. With so much more information at your disposal, your understanding of how the game is going is a lot better. Problem was, I got so many I forgot how to play like an inno, and people started to cotton on to me. Now I've just been getting inno roles, which are nice and varied :D.

Kurt M with a fatalistic Spoiler Entry:

Korlat said:

And probably the only one I'll get to make, but whatever. I'm really understanding Venge's frustration here.

Anyways, I'm not 100% certain D'riss is scum, but I'm 110% he's a fucking idiot, and there's a good chance he's the Symp. Of course, if he's the Symp, then he's not an idiot, he's doing a great job. That alone should be getting him lynched.

I do think the scum are on my train. Probably the people who haven't posted since voting for me. Emurlahn, Korvalain, Gamelon, and D'riss were the first four votes, and I'd be completely unsurpised if any two of them are the scum - with Telas or Silanah an outside possibility.

I really think some people have played this game too damned much, which is why I can get lynched over making arguments that should be perceived as helpful to the town. But instead, that's turned around on me. People are trying way, way too hard to read something into nothing, or to distrust honest analysis, or useful criticism. It's gotten so baroque with the over-analysis, no wonder nothing can be accomplished (for Innos, anyways) on Day 1.

Anyways, I'm probably completely wrong about my guesses, but whatever.

I accidentally posted this on thread, but deleted immediately. Just hoping noone noticed.

D'riss/PB has been trying to be uber-aggressive to provoke slips from the killers, but he was being WAAAAY too obvious about what he was doing, so there was no way the killers were ever going to fall for it. So all he netted was pissed off innos, and then he made matters worse by going with the 'Stick to my guns' approach. Poor play, IMO - I agree with Kurt M to a certain extent - players are trying to read too much into things at the moment.

If I wind up getting lynched, it's because some of you have played this game WAY TOO FUCKING MUCH, and have no goddamned perspective any more.

There a lot of you who not only can't see the forest for the trees, you sit around masturbating while analyzing individual needles. This is why some recent Day One's have been so fucked up - someone points out the obvious, or expresses irritation at the way a player is playing, and blam! Lynched for disrupting the circle jerk.

I can totally understand his frustration here. This was much like when they just wouldn't leave me alone a couple of games ago, picking up, stripping down, analysing, and seeing the worst in every little thing I said, with the killers cheering them on the whole way. Adding insult to injury, Korlat's even on the ball when he said ages ago that he thought at least one of the scum was on his train - and yep, there's Gamelon, happily sitting there. And now Ruse has joined him.

I just don't understand what PB is trying to achieve. He's gone totally stark raving rabid bonkers - his accusations make absolutely no sense, which everyone there can see, but they all want some kind of lynch. And who are the two saying he makes some kind of sense? Ruse and Gamelon.

A continuation of Alt and PB's conversation from before.

Tennes said:

D'riss said:

Tennes said:

D'riss said:

OH you're saying that if it becomes me, then I, Peanutbutter, and the new BB and whoever was the original BB actually does go to Spoiler Heaven?

NEVERMIND THEN.

That's exactly it. So after the first BB dies all the CIs go out the window and everyone gets heavy paranoid. And you may wanna tone down a little, but it's a bit too late now I suppose. You want to try draw an NK, not get lynched :)

I think I got all of that out of my system. Something about playing WAY out there that is liberating. Plus Korlat totally slipped and should be lynched for the mistake. When I was scum last game I slipped big time and in the end I was never lynched until innos had already figured it out. You gotta punish mistakes!

I have a funny feeling Korlat is Gem, which would make that last statement incredibly ironic. You were maybe a little too far out there, but I'm normally a way more laid back player.

Also - to the people in SH, how you liking the manager?

Then Alt changes his mind on his alt guess (he's still wrong :D):

Tennes said:

Korlat is Malaese, the circle-jerk thing is something he's brought up before.

And we have another missive from Kurt M:

Korlat said:

Oh, look, I'll get a second one in:

Yeah, I meant it in thread - the town is being really fucking lazy, in not taking a long look at D'riss's so-called case, and thinking I must be guilty. What that really means is that they're taking the easy way out, the sheep's way out. No one's even fucking trying, they're being completely herded, with a few token sentences that are supposed to look like analysis, but are really just repeating a brief summary of what's already been said, as an excuse to vote without thinking.

Because no, I'm not playing poorly. Saying it doesn't make it true, it's just an apathetic excuse to not think about what I've said in-game.

Fucking brilliant. D'riss had better be scum.
