So, what about a game? The stupidest commitment I may ever make on this forum...

You should have thought about that before saying yes to the Mafia game, then. (yes I am still bitter about D'rek killing me accidentally in the last game I played, why do you ask)

Yeah...I mean, on the plus side, most of the people playing know how to juggle an alt as they've played mafia. On the other hand, half of us ARE PLAYING mafia, and so it's an additional alt to play with.

Meh, by Monday Rot3K will be halfway done at least, and if it means I have to fire up Safari or something as an additional browser, I can do that, hehe. Alright, screw it, poll time...

But Cao Cao is dead now. It's ruined Christmas.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I would complain that the amount of mechanical, infrared capable eyes show a certain lack of creativity.

You have some better ideas? There's not a lot else mentioned ocular tech-wise from what I've read of the 40Kverse. It's all either infrared or light amplification type stuff. Like what we have now, except a little bit better. Maybe 100 years worth.

Can always improvise. Go for pheromones or something. XD

That being said, it is basically the 'standard' implant for Mechanicus members, and for everyone else it's useful. Combine that with role-player's tendency to 'deck out' their characters with what is 'cool'...

>.>

I just get this mental image of like four people all giving each other semi-blank looks while using their implants. XD

I guess it should've been obvious to me that since people actually do not know which character belongs to me, the fact that I was being self deprecating sort of went over your ancient aussie head :)

Alright, Sunday afternoon by my time, and I'm going to assume that anyone who hasn't submitted a character by tomorrow morning is out for the first session.

I will set up alts tonight, and issue them tomorrow, when I will also post the official 'opening scene'/setup info in the game thread. The result of the poll on alts was fairly obvious, I thought, seeing as no-one was against it and most people thought it would enhance RP/add extras to it, which are good things.

So, basically, this is FINAL CALL for characters, get them in ASAP or miss out. :p

Alts have been sent out. There won't be any 'role PMs' for them this time around, due to it being a practice run of sorts (character establishment, making sure the mechanics run well and everyone has enough time, that sort of thing), but at least when it comes time for the second session I won't have to hand out as many alts, hehe.

I will be posting the official opening scene shortly, at which time the game will officially begin and you can all start posting via your alt accounts. :hulk:

ETA (edit to add): By 'shortly' I mean sometime in the next hour, just fyi...

Slight delay, and somewhat sloppy opening scene (imo) but game is now on! Let the RP commence!

First posts are going to be for you guys to establish your characters/some interactions and to get a feel for the dynamics of conversations. :hulk:
