good morning all
I know I said i'd be back 4 hours ago, but I went to bed late than expe`ted and i have a lot of trouble getting up early at home.
in other words, I just got up and got caught up on thread to see I've missed two lynches.
I think the fact that the killers have same CF (ben't bouncers) is making us think they were paired which blows my theory out the water.
Question: why do we think there is only one killer left? 4 scum seems too little in a 20 person game.

Yes, but when you think about the fact that symps become killers upon the latter's death it evens things up a bit....Anyway, a pair of killers, but with more than 2 symps starting off, seems reasonable.
2 killers down, and deffo at least one symp (and probably two with Kesso). I would think it unlikely there is more than two scum left, but that's as far as I'm willing to take my theories on evil numbers.

And I'm back. Gonna do a reread of Tennes and see what I can see - I agree two more scum seems likely, maybe one if we're lucky.

These are the three recent posts of Tennes that stand out the most for me:
When killers talk about their own strategy it always raises huge WIFOM questions. Did he say something like this to mislead us? Or was he trying to appear more inno by giving up a bit of information that costs nothing?
He's replying to Ruse in this, I cut out the original cos it was long. Once again very WIFOM.
I think that eventually we have to go for Shadow. We can't leave him her. He made a good case on Emurlahn and bought himself a day. As for when or if the guard should reveal. I really don't know. Honestly other then Shadow I am at a loss. I think that all of us should be looked at. I don't trust any of you.
And right before he gets fingered he's eager to push a lynch on Shadow. Now Shadow was prime suspect when day started, so whether this is early distancing or trying to capitalise on an easy lynch is unclear.
It's also interesting to note he made a half-hearted case on Amp, which could also be seen as distancing, but at the time everyone was doing cases on everyone else.
And he didnt vote Mockra, although it's a bit late for that.
In short, most of his posts werent incredibly content filled, and the ones that are are very ambivalent in the light of the fact that he's scum. No obvious interactions with anyone, was keen on an Emur lynch. The closest there is to a link with anyone is Shadow, who supported him in a case on Emur. This worries me, since Shadow keeps going from very scummy to VPI and back again in my mind. Reread on him coming up next.

The biggest thing that has stood out for me is the fact that other then Fener it has mostly been the quieter players who have died. That to me suggests a killer or killers who are among the higher posters and are targeting people who irritate them the low posters. I also find it strange that Emu was under so much suspicion earlier and now has totally faded into the back ground. When I get time next I am going to do a reread of his posts and see if anything pops out.

I just got caught up and was going to post the same thing. It is the only reason that I could think of for why Anomandaris hasn't been killed yet. Just thought that I would throw that out of there before I go to bed. I don't think that we can clear the people who Anomandaris has guarded.
Night
Edit: Some more thoughts. I think that there started off with 6 scum. Probably 2 paired killers and 4 symps. The symps wouldn't know each other only the killers. The symps who didn't become a new killer would then find out who the new one was. I also think that Fener and Kesso were the paired finders. That would explain why Kesso didn't use a find on the first night. Either that or they were both separate finders.

Still doing that reread, this just occurred to me - We forgot to ask Telas who he had done a find on all the nights after Fener died. FUCK.

Of the recent things Shadow has said, there are these:
Which is a convenient thing to say AFTER a finder reveal, nothing before this for a while to indicate any suspicion of Tennes.
This posts bugs me, but I cant say why...
Or the current provisional of whoever is killed goes through on the new killers behalf. Narrowing it down would be nice, but we cant be sure of the mechanic sad.gif
That's very true. We can't discount those who weren't here (Ampelas, Korlat, Tellan)
Very quick to back me up on something that expands the suspeect pool, but it's not completely unreasonable
And planting the suggestion of the remaining guard reveal, which I jumped on a little earlier.
Now Shadow fell under a lot of suspicion after Amp's case two days ago. While that was originally based on a pretty far out theory about Fener being a symp originally (which obviously wasnt the case), a couple of other people did also find things about him to be suspicious in the resulting investigation. Mainly it was not really committing to anything and pointing fingers at everyone, which he has defended. He has raised suspicions against people who were seen as VPI or CI (yes I'm putting myself in there), which I always find suspect.
He managed to swing a lynch off himself with a case that Tennes started. Maybe just unlucky, but that seems like some good paired play.
Gem named him as well as me in her little explosion. At first that cleared him in my mind, but now I cant help but wonder if she didnt intend for it to clear him when I CF'd inno. But he was one of the first to go after her and did get into a bit of a fight her before that. As I've said before, Gem was being damn wierd with that whole business, so some screwy attempt at signalling does come to mind. And he pointed out a possible symp clue to Driss, which I wouldnt imagine a symp would do.
Egh, I think I need to red some more. My gut is saying go with Shadow, but I'm not nearly as certain as I was with Meanas.
And Korlat has been damn near invisible all game, any idea when he last posted?

The above was Korlat's last post, I'm assuming he's sleeping at the moment.
I'm at work and used up most of my non-existent free time this morning during the two lynches. I'll be doing read throughs of everything and post anything I can find. Not sure I'll have time to present a massive case though right now even if I do find something.
Regarding Tennes pointing the finger at us possibly having scum in the group of high posters, it occurs to me that he knew one of the low posters was scum and was trying to misdirect us. If it hadn't been for that reveal by Telas we would have gone for a lynch on another high posting/more active player, which is what we have done for the most part so far. I think it really is time we start looking at some of the lower posters or those who have had little to add that was specific. There are several people who have yet to present a case and are just kind of agreeing or coasting along with the popular train and we have been allowing them to do so. It might be time to put a bot of pressure on those individuals.

Ok, to try and answer some of Serc's comments:
I've posted below some previous comments that I had made on Tennes. It's no exaggeration that there was very little to stick on him as being scummy, the guy posted so little, but below I've tried to show that I did look at and notice him in the past.
Next comment:
I gave Venge's comment a thumbs up because it made me laugh really hard for like fifteen minutes. Come on, to paraphrase, "I'm, uh, Ano's guard partner...no, he's a leprechaun....I'm your God dammit!!" Venge knew the game was up and was having some fun, I just indicated I found it funny.

Well, my whole thing this game and what's got me in trouble WAS to expand the suspect pool - why stop now
But seriously, I thought it was a good point and I thought someone else was a bit quick to say that there's deffo a killer in the voters because Telas was killed.
And planting the suggestion of the remaining guard reveal, which I jumped on a little earlier.
Well, I did say if the majority agrees, I wasn't saying that's what we should definitely without question do.

Omtose, I think you'll find quite a few people have been questioning Fener's motives. Personally, I don't know whether to agree with that case or not myself. There is something about Mockra's posting (and D'riss') that gets me looking in their direction, but at the same time, I am almost unconsciously now linking the two together every time one of them posts.
Of all the bigger posters though, those two are the ones most on my radar.
But, in an effort to look at a bigger picture, I took a look at Tennes. And this is what I've found. He posted LOADS whilst everyone was RPing drunk, and then as soon as it stopped, he stopped posting. There is not a single post from Tennes since we began playing seriously. Anything in that, do people reckon?

I suppose Kess was hoping it would make him PI and a killer. He just wasn't counting on getting offed himself.
In no particular order:
Omtose
D'riss
Meanas
Emurlahn
I would guess are our primary suspects. Galain's name occurs to me too, but I can't be certain without looking back if he was a Mockra defender or not.
Worth noting, no Rashan still, and Tennes hasn't been seen since the drunken RP.

If there were more people on to discuss it with, I might even place a vote there, but I don't know. I'll be in and out all afternoon, hopefully there'll be people around later...
EDIT: Woah hello, there's 5 more people now! Hi Venge. Well as I said, gut says Shadow, any of you have thoughts?

Fuck, I'm really so lost right now. Nothing personal Shadow, but something doesn't feel right with you. Like I said, I cant really say what though and I'm not certain. Definitely not certain enough to drive a lynch against you anyway.
The only person I vaguely trust at this point is Omtose, and even that isnt much. Sigh. Not asking Telas for his finds before the lynch was a big mistake, we all got so caught up in finding a scum it completely slipped everyone's minds.
If there are in fact two scum left then tomorrow is D-day, since at 2-2 the scum win. So we can slip up once, but I'd really prefer not to. This game is really going down to the wire, wow.
