Wow. Didn't actually expect this amount of feedback. Thank you all for that.

Battalion Thanks. Glad to hear you like the Imass. I've been hearing a lot about the size of the sword being ridiculous so I quess it could use some downsizing. The "scales" on it infact are a result of sharpening the edge. I would very much like to do a veering picture if I just could find the time.
Salt-Man Z Thank you very much!
waydoug You're damn right they're not manga! Thanks. Word taken on the sword.
Stalker I know the fact that they are supposed to have that worn leathery skin. My idea was to have the skin stretched really taut across their bones so that's why the ribcage is showing. Might have gone a little overboard with the ink shading though. The stone arrow look is exactly what I was going for with the sword. I was particularly inspired by the part in tHoC where Karsa fashions his own stone sword and although he is not a T'lan Imass, he uses the same method in constructing it.
Skywalker Thanks. Glad you like them. I have at the moment two other art threads in this forum if you're interested in seeing more. Other than those you'll just have to be patient and wait for me to draw some more. Boy, I wish I did this for living. That'd be swell.
Bonesaw85 Thank you. I will keep up the good work

Here's some more sketchy stuff. Another T'lan Imass and my first attempts at an Aptorians head and a Forkrul Assail.

Damn those long multi-jointed limbs look silly. Not sure if I like the smaller scimitar-like stone sword on the Imass. Will have to chew on that a bit. Anyways, feel free to give your input on these.

No, my username has nothing to do with a certain wickan warlock. The damned biach stole my username as far as I know.

They look good (though I agree the Assail looks a bit silly). The Immas sword is better than that ginormous chunk of rock in the first one

I like the Assail, pretty close and looks like it actually can move, if you know what I mean :)

I thnik if you shortened the mid and forearms a bit on the Assail it'd be spot on the money, as it is, yes I like

See I love the way the Assail is going. Just some ideas though.

The Fork'rul Assail were very lanky, for lack of a better word, and you seem to have only captured that in the arms. So on a further revision, possibly you might want to show the length of the legs (I know it's hard in that kind of position and I'll get to that!). Furhtermore, I personally never imagined the joints to be so pronounced in the arms, please someone correct me, but I never thought of them being jointed in such an obvious manner that it looked like they had two elbows!

Otherwise mate, alls I can say is that I'm amazed by your work. You're like a v2 of Onrack! Very very very nice work, and as such, I continually look forward to seeing more from you. :)

Edit: Concerning the T'lan sword. I think that before you made it MUCH too thick, it seemed like a popsicle hah. This time, I don't think it's long enough. The idea is great though.

Don't mind what I say though, I'm hardly art savvy, so feel free to discard what I say! haha XD

Aptorian's head is very awesome as well, didn't quite picture it with fur, but then again, I can't remember the exact description either haha

That Assail reminds me of a Swedish contortionist I saw once....scary looking bugger.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Aptorian's have fur. It says so in DG the first time it appears.

And I actually agree with the rest of your comment. It might be that we're "reading" multi-jointed wrong somehow. I tried my hand at it, it looked awful :)

Nether: Your sketches are awesome. I think a mix between the first two Imass swords would be cool :)

Thanks again for all of you who commented.

The Assail needs a bit more working on and I think I've come quite close on the Imass sword. Something in-between the first "popsicle" and the later saber should be about right. I should probably do a full body anatomy study of the Forkrul Assail to better get to grips with them.

At the moment I'm working on portraits of the Beddict brothers as well as Tool(or Onrack if I decide to decimate his head). I'll post them on a separate thread once they're done. Might be a while though, and I'll have to think of how to post stuff later since I'll loose my opportunity to use a scanner some time at the end of the month.

Yeah there we go, I wasn't sure. I'm on TtH so I'm kinda hazy on some of the descriptions from back in DG lol. Thanks.

Nether I think Your version of a Forkrul assail is spot on...

to get max affect I think just add another segment to the arms: 3 instead of 4 segments
give you a more fluid feel for the joints

also the arms have a snakier effect if they hang lower about the body as though
they are snakes or whips...It was advice I got earlier myself so really just passing it on.
(I can post the resulting pic up if you'd like a look)

Other than that I love the Imass form and not picky about the swords, they each have a
fun character about them. see Onracks flint sword for karsa in other threads if
it still bothers you. His stone swords are pretty well defined and might
lend you some ideas

Dolmen I think adding yet another segment to the Assails limbs would look even more silly, that's my opinion. I think I'll stick with only one additional joint instead of two.

Assail I will take my time. Many things on my plate right now, and I'll have to postpone my sketching for some time. Hope to get back to drawing soon.

In the meantime here's a work-in-progress pic of my version of Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Kalam. I was thinking he'd have a sort Assasins Creed type of gear on him. We'll see where this goes.
