Not really, but it was entertaning to suggest it.

Met Morgoth yesterday and i'll be honest, he simply wasn't Norwegian enough for me, he didn't have a boat, long sword, not even a helmet with horns on it or long blond hair.
His amerrican accent (and english that is quite frankly better than mine) really threw me. I was hoping for a yesh goldmember type of amusing accent that I could laugh at mercilessly but he failed to provide.

I'lll admit to being a little nervous, only other internutz person I've met was 6/7 years ago in Salt lake, so I took the only sensilbe route available, drank a right bit of gin on the bus from airport to oslo, I think Morgy will confirm I was a little bit drunk.
It enabled me to be more verbose and while I made an effort to speak more slowly than normal I was still a bit nervy rambly on the whole, full credit to morgoth for understanding me, my parents sometimes have trouble underrstanding me.

I dont rightly remember all the much of the conversation, the general track was that Lawyers are scum and how you are all a bunch of DICKS I think (I have a terrible memory, We'll have to ask sober morg for the rundown on what was discuessed)

Eh, what else, oh his hands are of a similar size to mine so no freaky handness was discovered, (fuck you apt ;))

hmm, it looks large there but my hands are small, the guy im staying with has far bigger hands than me.
My hand doesn't photgraph well I guess.

ETA: morgoth must have the little girly hands!

You shouldn't take it so badly. You know what they say about guys with big hands?

So, Morgy encounters someone from Ireland and you were ginned up before you arrived? Hurrah for conforming to stereotypes!

Sigh...Macros, did you get drunk again?

No doubt you and Morgoth swore some creepily awesome pacts while inebriated...

Btw, did you get me a present?

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

I hope he didnt make you try that godforsaken Aquevitshit, although if you were drinking neat gin you probably would have loved it. Did you partake in a bout of the traditional malazan armwrestling?

This bodes poorly for my Australian accent. I must therefore continue the time honoured tradition of native English speakers everywhere when among the dirty foreigners of speaking VERY S-L-O-W-L-Y B-U-T L-O-U-D-L-Y. ;)

Btw Macros, Morgy's hands were only close to your size (and still smaller, I note) because he is a Norse giant. You're still a HUGE HANDED MUTANT FREAK! :p

I will however hopefully catch you in Eire, where I can watch the awkwardly compelling sight of you causing a large can of Guinness to disappear in your grasp as you down it in one gulp.

I may even take photos.

I may also dub thee "Urko". Or "Jurko Crustypants", if you lose The Contest between now and then. :p

Cheers,

Thankfully I didn't kill him, I was just checking out my train times and true to Macros form I didn't consider this when booking my flights, to make the bus for to the airport on tuesday I either have to get a 6.45 AM train on tuesday morning or get myself intoa hotel in Norway on monday night. Its unlikely to see me getting up at 6 am and training it hungover/still drunk so I may be in need of a partner in crime for drinking and general lairyness tomorrow night in Oslo. Possibly including the some busty blond types (you must know some, they're everywhere up here)
No aquavit though, shots make old macros who is old's tummy rumble and occasionally deposite contents on floor

Try Absint, pure fun in a bottle.

For some reason we have a saying in danish about absint making you blind, but you shouldn't heed such old and no doubt useless folk lore!!

We don't get the old version. We get the version allowed in Europe, meaning the level of that herb is about one tenth max of what it was in the olden days.

You don't get hallucinations from drinkng Absinth now, even the very strong types, but you do get a weird buzz. I usually get all kinds of docile... and very drunk.

Macros struck me as a funny guy, and given a few more hours I'm sure we'd be doing drinking hymns and shoting Akevitt :D ..

And Mac, the offer to crash here still stands, if you need a place for the night

And as for the picture, I have the pampered hands of an academic with a sheltered upbringing whereas Mac's look like they've spent a day too many in the forge :D
