Watched Outlander last night, movie starring Jim CaJesusal about a space marine stranded on earth with the Vikings fighting an alien. It was entertaining enough I suppose, but was horribly cheesy in a lot of places. Worth watching for free, would have been annoyed to spend any money at all on it.

Wait? Like a Warhammer 40k space marine?! They're making Warhammer films now?

If it is I am disappointed, if it isn't then somebody tell me why the hell they haven't started making WH40K films yet? Awesome gothic spaceopera would blow Star Wars out of the water.

Not warhammer space marines, just a generic space marine.

You just shut your trap there, blasphemer!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Because Games Workshop are run by a pack of repulsive lobotomy victims.

Also 40k could totally beat the Star Wars universe in a fight. That's right, I went there.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

We both know your pathetic Jedi's would be crushed by the Emperors Psykers. They'd "unthink" the Death Star and mind fry Palpatine and Vader from across the galaxy.

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

No skull, I'll disappear into the ether. And, then haunt you.

Just heard that there is a possible remake of Judge Dredd in the pipeline, apparently Alex Garland will be doing the script. Hopefully it won't resemble that Stallone abomination from a few years back and Dredd will keep his fucking helmet on.

No news on casting yet although I think Dominic West has the jaw to do the job !

I can't help loving any film with Armand Assante in it. The guy is just so very awesome. Probably the only manly frenchman alive today. That jaw of his could sink the titanic.

Jean Reno is not a very manly man, well besides that awesome beard of his.

Even in Ronin he seemed more like french comedic relief.

Finally got around to watching The International with Clive Owen last night, really enjoyed it. Decent premise (easily believable in the current climate), good acting all round and a particularly good action scene shot in the Guggenheim in NY.

Well worth a watch if you haven't seen it already.

Saw 'The Informant' over the weekend. Somewhat entertaining. Very happy I only paid the matinee price. Did I spell that right? I dunno, it looks too close to manitee to make me think it is right. But maybe I am spelling the sea cow wrong? DAMN YOU LANGUAGE ON A MONDAY MORNING.

Watched Once Upon a Time in America, a 4 hour gangster movie starring a very rapey Di Niro. It was good, but damn was he rapey. Those parts were hard to watch.
