Hoping it stays in the cinema long enough to get a weekend where we actually have time for a cinema date

That's the one.

My favourite thing about it was Mr Not a Blacksmith watching, getting to Jeremy Irons being Jeremy Irons and saying "Well gosh, that's a lot of acting" Posted Image

We can now officially call that one the "second best" DnD movie!

To be fair, there were 2 straight-to-video sequels to the 2000 D&D movie (WRATH OF THE DRAGON GOD, and BOOK OF VILE SECRETS) and at least ONE of them (as shit and b-TV movie as it also was) was at least better than D&D 2000....so I'd say 3rd best?

In the US, the second one was a SyFY Channel movie -- by airing rights, if not the production itself. Which makes sense, since one of the party members is a half-sharktopous water mage.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Solid flick. Really enjoyable.

Didn’t try to do too much or be anything spectacular.
I’ll go watch it again with the kids.

Only complaint is they had a Paladin in a fight, and not a single smite? Come on now.

Planning on watching John Wick 4 this weekend, so I'm rewatching the John Wick films.

Just finished the first one. Still a perfect action film. Don't remember much about the second and third film other than there's a price to pay, on a tab that keeps growing. Also a lot of people got beat up and shot. A lot.

Watched Jordan Peele's Nope last weekend. It was interesting. Entertaining. Different. Probably my least favorite of the 3 he's made so far, but I really liked Get Out and Us, so that's tough company.

6.5 out of 10. Don't know if I'd say NOPE to watching it again, but might. Still masticating on it.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I had the exact same reaction. There's a lot to like about it (particularly visually, and the flashback stuff is perfect horror) but also a lot that left me scratching my head or feeling cold. Seemed a little more loosey goosey than the first two, but maybe some of that stuff went over my head.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I'm worried about the run time. 3 hours is ridiculous.

I swear, any film that's more than 100 minutes should be forced to include a midway matinee, so you can get rid of the litre of cola you drank an hour earlier.

Skip the adverts and it is only 2 hour 40 mins which isn't quite as bad but still get a numb backside, even in the VIP seats.

I've got an iron bladder.

Unfortunately I also enjoy buying the biggest jug of coca cola you can get at the concession stand.

The salt from the extra large bucket of popcorn you get should help with that though.

You know there are better ways to draino your digestive system than "big jug of cola", yeah?

I mean, half the reason for going to the cinema, is getting rich amounts of fountain Coca Cola. Of all the varieties of Coca Cola it is perhaps the second greatest.

I've reached the half way point of John Wick 3.

I still don't like this story angle.
