You're clearly at the early stages of WWingdiction. Later comes frustration, perplexity and boredom. And an odd obsession with whether Josh and Donna have a thing or not.

- Abyss, remebers when that show still had its mojo.

See, drinking beer makes everything funnier. Watching man-bits being smashed, cut and destroyed over and over doesn't have a good outcome.

That sound you heard right thru the movie was Robert Ludlum spinning in his grave.

I can't remember if I mentioned this in the old movie topic or not but I saw Hellboy and thought it was awful. I have heard good things about it but frankly I don't know why. It was a cliched piece of crap IMHO and I am a big fan of the director, who also made Blade 2 which I loved. Now maybe it will appeal to fan-boys of the Hellboy comic (I've never actually read the comic) but I wasn't impressed with the villian(s). They were the most unoriginal and boring bad guys I have seen in a movie since the Mummy and the Mummy Returns.

Kris Kris is gunna be in blade 3 (whistlers daughter will also be in it) but the bad news is one of blades new friends is gunna be played by the guy from van wilder, theres also a bit of concern as the guy whos's directing it (he also wrote all three scripts) has made a movie before which went straight to video and when yu consider some of the crap that makes into the cinema nowadays, thats pretty bad.

There are also rumours of freddy vs jason vs ash, new line are trying to secure the rights to ash from Raimi (he wont be directing)

Also lucas have just annouced one of the bad guys from star wars 3- read the following in a deeply sarcastic voice- he's a half robot, half alien, jedi killer called general grevious!!! I think lucas is going senile or something.

@Dark Daze
(Hmmm) you didn't like Hellsing. strange, It stands highly on my list of good anime. The story and animation are sometimes somewhat bellow par but it is a nice mix of action and weirdness where the music does a lot for me.
Strange thing is that Blood the last vampire did nothing for me. Wate of money in my opinion.

Texhnolyze:
Couldn't get past the second episode, to weird even for my taste. And I can follow Ghost in the Shell SAC storylines. Animation was different is what I remember.

The Twelve Kingdoms:
Have the episodes lying around haven't gotten round to watching but have freinds who really liked it.

Sol Bianca:
Watched the entire show which means it is reasonable entertainment. I found the characters sometimes ok but a bit flat at times. If female space pirates is your thing add to this rating.

The Soul Taker:
The style of animation takes some getting used to. Only saw the first two episodes but it seemed to me it had some aeon flux tyoe thing going on. Someone who has seen the entire series may comment better on this show.

Last Exile:
I really really liked it. The atmosphere is nice. Interesting characters. Get's two thimbs up from me. But I think we had established that before. (Anime thread still alive?)

Vandread:
Another one I liked. When some men get on a female only ship you know what kind of humor is going to be played out. But the humor worked for me and I enjoyed it a lot.

Witch Hunter Robin:
Must say I saw the entire show. It had some good points but overall there is better anime out there. Not bad just not great.

Trigun:
Been a while since I have seen it. If I remember correcltly it has a lot of standard hero whom doesn't kill but seeks revenge on his brother theme running through it. The western setting works and some humor I liked. There are some subtly strong stories running behind the humor. Nice series in my opinion and worth checking out.

Bleu Seed:
Unimpressed by first two episodes, never downloaded or saw more can't give balanced opinion.

El Hazard OVA, NieA_7 Crest of the stars:
Sorry, not seen, not seen as downloads, not for rent where I live.

Noir:
Among some anime enthousiasts where I live I am the only one who seems to really like it. Music again does a lot for me. Ahh corsican coridor still in my playlist. It is slow and meanders. But I strangely could forgive it this series. Discribed by some as too girly I enjoyed it nevertheless.

I watched the EE of Fellowship earlier this week and the EE of TTT last night. I have a feeling that the EE of ROTK is going to make the movie a lot better than it was. 50 minutes of footage that had to be cut so it could go to theatres and you can tell on rewatches all the parts that don't feel as fleshed out as they should.

And Hero is an awesome movie, although I liked Crouching Tiger better.

bah I'm not saying that the movie lost much from using steel weapons. I'm just anoyed that such a ridiculous mistake wasn't noticed.. It's like Van Helsing where that family that swore to kill Dracula did so 100 years before he was born are we to believe the dates provided us by the movie.

The use of steel weapons was not what made Troy a plain, average movie in my eyes, it just wasn't great. It was ok, i understand that people disgaree with me, but i cannot see anything that made the movie "great"

I saw Rambo III for the first time the other day! Needs must when boredom sets in. I bet they're regretting making a film praising the bravery of the Afganistan mujahedin now!

So the sight of Orlando Bloom's naked pre-pubescent torso didn't do it for you either then? I'm still traumatised. Posted Image
