To be honest, I'm back at square one for votes. The spamming doesn't really strike me as anything more than first-day jawing.

True, but if he keeps it up I'm after him for an early vote. And now I feed. Adios.

I thought I picked up something with one person saying sect instead of faction, but then I read closer and seems that terminology was not inserted into the game by him.

Not a good start to the night/day, and my head is killing me. Loud bloody neighbours. Nigh on 6 hours they've been hammering :broody: , sorry, I know I should stop feeling sorry for myself, but it makes concentration really hard ;) . 1 act of kindness would be to put them out of my misery, but doubt whether I'll be so lucky - I will try to do another read and pick something up, but sleep might overtake me, - if they give me a break.

Can't stay and chat folks, I'll be back in an hour or so. There's stuff to speculate about, that's for sure.

Hell, I'm just concerned we've gone from "Sabbat and Baali and Camarilla as evil factions" to "there is no scum" (alright, so that's just one of us ;) )...but we all seem convinced there is a cult now? It wasn't that many pages back the majority of the players were thinking there wasn't a cult - remember in the opening scene, the Sabbat was "your cell" - that implies more than one, and that doesn't sound like a cult, that sounds like a merc, or a standard killer, faction, the Camarilla just aren't into the whole conversion thing, lore-wise, and the opening post for the Camarilla makes it sound like he's a lone agent - "we may not be able to provide further assistance".

Of course, that's just flavour, technically, and the "new craft" of the Sabbat sounds VERY much like recruitment...or a faceless man, though I really doubt that.

If we are going with there being a cult, it'd have to be the Sabbat, I agree...but the mention of "cell" implies they are starting with more than one. Now, think about this. If they start with 3, and the ability to recruit...that's a huge advantage over the other "last man standing" factions. So there's a bit of contradiction.

I'm just musing out loud, here, btw - waffling a bit. But feedback'd be nice.

I suppose I should back my "case" on Tellan with a vote, of course...

Vote Tellan

Oh, and I'm not saying there isn't a cult - hell, I'm voting for a guy who probably is in a cult! XD Or he's trying to make us focus on the cult, etc.

It's just possible that there isn't a cult, so it pays to discuss a bit.

Oh, and Tellan is now on 8 Votes, for those who may wish to know.

And I was merely pointing out, that, (as I was reading over the first few pages), most players initially seemed to think there was no cult.

I agree, Gamelon, that if there is a cult, it is the Sabbat. My prior post was merely musings, as I pointed out. But claiming that because PS put "recruit" as a possible action in the action order list, is just silly, considering the disclaimer located directly beneath it. Did anyone consider the Sabbat might be able to use the posession instead of the recruit?

Liosan said:

Tellan, Ment has told us what the town is. It's in the opening rules posts. There is town. They have victory conditions. This is just making me think you are definitely NOT town.

Just can't stop talking about your powers can you? Cult this, Sabbat that. The last quote sealed it for me you say there is a town and "they have victory conditions". So you confirmed that you know there is a town, then you should know that everyone is going to claim to be town, so shouldn't you have said "We" have victory conditions?

He does seem to be jumping around a lot, doesn't he? As if he said something he think might indicate he's scum and is trying to hurriedly cover himself. And finishing it all off with a quick accusation against someone else to try and put his accuser on the defensive. Good stuff Korlat.

Well I had been hoping that would be fodder to get into a discussion about this, but dead thread is dead. So I'm removing my vote for now since I'm goin' off for a couple hours. Discuss Korlat's argument on Liosan and I may reinstate it after we discuss this more thoroughly and he has a chance for rebuttal.

Not convinced tbh, and I'm sure as hell not jumping on a train, when I can hardly see, let alone think straight, especially after we lynched Tellan on a 'slip' Like I said, that case made sense at the time, but plenty of us were confused on night/day 1. (Hell even the day/night/day thing is throwing me at the moment.) There is plenty of time to think things over. Personally I would rather sleep on it, and if the case makes sense then I'll vote for him.

Edit: Cross post ;)

Back, caught up and exhausted. This will probably be my only post for a while. But does no one else have a problem with this? I'll be back in a few hours, to discuss whats happened, but right now I need to get some food and rest.

By the way, these are the only 2 posts by Galain, one yesterday. One today.

It all seems quiet here now, and I really need some sleep. Will be on as early as possible, hopefully with a clearer head. See you in the morning/night/day- or whatever!

So....Korlat...what are you accusing me of being, specifically?

And if we are going to go down the we/them/us road, perhaps you should consider that, when talking to Tellan, I was point out the abstract - that is to say, what Path-Shaper had said. Not from the perspective of a player, but from the perspective of: You have not read what the mod has put. My wording in the first post you quoted shows this.

Next, I'm not sure where I am "jumping around" - I've been pretty consistant. Though, for some reason, people seem to ignore my disclaimer of "this is just musings". Now, today, people have been talking about an FM, or alternative mechanics. I voted for Tellan, because he had indicated he was focusing on it being a cult game. It is NOT just a cult game - there are three factions, and two of them sound more like traditional scum than cults. So I assumed that Tellan must then be in the cult. I never said there wasn't a cult, I simply suggested we consider other options.

If you quote my musings post, or any part of it, as "evidence" of me "jumping around", I'm afraid I'm going to have to vote for whoever does that. Simply because they cannot read and are a liability, or they can read, and are taking things out of context to get a lynch.

Korlat's got a good point, and Lio has been veeeery middle of the road as those posts indicate. Galain raises a flag with me due to his lackadaisical attitude towards TUNING IN AND TALKING! But I find Lio to be more likely scum than Galain. So:

I like the point on Liosan but im still a little confused as to who to lynch today. I was planning on voting for Shadow but since he is gone, I was thinking maybe Serc.. though this is based on something rather than the annoyance from Serc.

See, I find it interesting that the guy who brought you a decent case - which all agree was a decent case - is getting votes today. I wonder why?

I would much rather attempt to force low-posters to talk that vote on either of the lolcases we have seen so far in this game.
