I'm still waiting on the lynch scene and to see who got killed during the day--er, night... whatever.

I would NOT be surprised to see one of our previous potential targets were taken out, considering how much fighting there was among Serc, Shadow, Barghast, and Fener.

SYMP CLUES!

And to be fair, I didn't fight wtih Serc or Barghast. :D

Another senerio but one that is slightly less obvious might be that as Tellan was a Anarchs ie the town. If most of us are RI it might be that Mental made some people in the town harder to lynch. We wouldn't know who was a towny till right up till the moment of the lynch.

But if he did that, we would just need to build a train up to the correct lynch number, and if the person isn't lynched we try on someone else. It would allow us to be sure we aren't lynching a townie each day. Do you think Ment is that stupid?

I think it's actually a very valid idea that some people are just (slightly) harder to lynch, just as valid as having a non-voter. I just don't think ALL townies are going to be that way, but maybe one or two. (okay zero or one now :D )

The other option, I guess, is that someone has an ability to make another player's vote not count. I still think it's probably more likely that there's a player on the train whose vote didn't count though.

Fair enough. I just didn't want to see a witch hunt (I think this guy is a townie, lets do the correct number of lynch votes on him and see if he dies to find out).

I think the key is that there's so much to consider, it's not really possible to determine if:

1) Someone has a non-counting vote, or
2) Someone's vote can be disabled/changed by another person (as a day er night action?), or
3) A person can require extra votes to be lynched

So we're back at square one... and I believe we're waiting on night (er day?)

Oh god! Another vote-rigger!!! We must find Matt Parkman!

Seriously though, one of the actions in Ment's list was possess. If that action is indeed in the game, could that be it?

I shall not answer that on the basis that Mental is modding the game. :D

When you read my post right above yours, you'll note that I stipulate it's simply not possible to determine if vote-changing is in the game based on the limited information we have from one turn.

Undeterminable, yes, but *if* it's a person controlling another person, than the name of the action being 'possess' could be indicative of stuff...

Okay, I see what you are saying now, but I think we've already established that there may be such a mechanic in play... which unfortunately doesn't help us without a few more lynches.

I guess. We'll just keep it in mind for later then

Hey guys, I'm here.

It's too bad about Kurt, from what he was saying it certainly sounded like he wasn't an anarch.
Though I'd agree with Sil for now, it is difficult to determine why it took 13 votes to get the lynch. Could be several possbile answers at this point.

I've pointed that out a few times, Korv - if there's an FM faction, then I could definitely see their votes not counting. There are three scum factions, so I could see Ment making them Killers, Cult and FMs...although having said that, two FMs running around on the same team might be a bit overpowered.

EDIT: Big Crosspost.

Yeah, 2 FMs on the same team does seem overpowered, unless they were limited in some way. Maybe like the predator where there's two of them but only one kill each day?

Rather than 2 fms or something like that, I could see it more as 1 fm and symp. Potentially symp could take over after, because sticking two FM together seems too powerful.

edit: got 3 hours of class now, be back in a bit.

Yeah, that sounds plausible. An FM would be the most likely person not to have a vote, IMO. So if one exists, I'd expect him to be on the train...

Ok so it took 13. Which means either he needed an extra vote for some reason, or one of

Ruse
Omtose
Rashan
Mockra
Gamelon
Liosan
Hoods Path
Barghast
Emurlahn
Shadow
D'riss
Telas

Gets to vote but it dosen't count.

I would like to talk about this.

Who, in this kind of game, would get a vote that dosen't count?

The obvious one to me is the cult leader, but is that too obvious?

I suspect that if Ment has put Judas in the game then based on the opening scene he is the non-voter. I know scenes are not to be read into, but if its put there clear as day that we're do decide lynches among ourselves, then Judas wouldn't have a vote. This by no means proves Judas is in the game, but he certainly wouldn't have a vote.

Wait, why do we suspect an FM?

One of the night actions listed as possible in the opening scene is Possess.

I just saw Path-Shaper... !
I think we need an update because if we lynched someone it would be night and nights are only 4 hours long!
