Aside from the obvious tips of being in great shape and being very experienced with your board, not really.
I imagine you would be hitting a shit load of untouched powder, and I am drooling at the thought.
If you have the cash for something like that, go for it. It would be an amazing experience.

Yeah I'm confident in my fitness and ability, just wandering about location and price.

I'm likely only going to do this once in my life, so whilst cost is a factor, i want it to be the best possible location.

So basically the gist of it is you fly a helicopter to the top of a mountain, hop out and board down these areas untouched by regular riders, correct?

That's the gist. One of my dreams since I was young was to work a bar at a ski resort for a season, ski all day and party all night. Now that I have a career and a mortgage my dream has been downgraded in length but upgraded in cost and thrill. Hell working in a bar sucks anyway.

Awesome. If I'd spent my time at that Austrian ski resort actually snowboarding instead of getting too drunk to ski and visiting lapdancing clubs (STILL THE BEST SCHOOL TRIP EVER) I'd be able to give you more worthwhile advice. As is, all I can say is have fun, and don't get your corpse too mangled if you die.

Ok well since nobody hree seems to know much about this I went to a different forum (forgive me father) and read something that has me second guessing:

I guess they can get you anywhere a heli would take the average punter...

Might be worth doing a few days on a cat and finding out off a guide if you they could vouch for you...

Sure the initial jump rush would be hard to beat, but there's nothing of the sheer joy of carving fat lines on fresh deep powder while taking in spectacular views and clean fresh mountain air.
