waxing is quicker than shaving? o rlly?

Yep much quicker, I don't do the waxing myself, I get it done professionally, but they basically apply the warm wax, wait a few seconds for it to set a bit and then rip it off really quickly. They do it a section or strip at a time, but it goes really fast, it's over before you know it. As I say the results last a lot longer than shaving too, so it's not like you're doing it every week. It's a win win situation as far as I'm concerned.

I agree with TB, waxing is definately better, the hair grows back lighter and finer too. It also tickles rather than hurts me, so no pain for me anyway :p

I imagine it would be interesting to wax your beard though and I woukldn't do it unles syou don't ever want to grow it back.

Kalam: you shoudl get waxed, wax everything! Then you will understand hehehe

Yeah centz is right don't wax your beard! I get everything done and I'm out of there in less than half an hour. Centz is also right about the hair growing back lighter and finer so it's easier and less painful each time. If you really want to try waxing something go for your chest hair or under arms of something, don't start with the unmentionable areas it might put you off the whole thing for good! :p The type of wax they use is dependent on the length and coarseness of the hair so you could try the cold wax as well. Personally I find the warm or hot wax to be much more comfortable.

What type of wax did they use Cupcake? The type of wax used could have made it more painful. If the hair was long, they should have shaved it down a little first. Waxing longer hair is not the best idea!

I get a couple of different tpye of waxes used on me each time, as some parts of me are more sensative, my face breaks out if the normal hot wax is used :p

I knew a guy who got his whole head waxed, he loved his shiny shiny scalp. Said it didn't hurt him at all, but I thyink he was lying.

When I did used to shave I used a Gillette... something... one of the womens ones, it has been years since I have so I don't remember exactly.

Yes I have heard of people with sensitive skin breaking out due to the hot wax, luckily I've never had that problem. Do you get the stripless wax done Centz? It's something I've started having done lately and I must say it's far superior!

That guy who had the whole head done had to have been lying about it not being painful! That is pretty extreme!

My family has been warned. Retribution will occur should they attempt something like that.

I'll never go back to the traditional wax after having the stripless done!

Oh and for once I have to disagree with you my dear, I like my men clean shaven! :p

If it weren't for the fact that I'm sure that is doused in sarcasm I'd be happy.

I think some men look much better and more manly with a beard. Some men don't. So not too much sarcasm there :p
