Just wanted to throw this out there:

Does anyone else here play games on Steam? TF2, CS:Source, etc.
Since I didn't see any threads about a Steam group, I imagine that'd be pretty cool to set up as well.

I prefer CoD over TF2. It's too much like Quake where you just run in blasting.

CoD is a bit more tactical.

TF2 is an intentionally arcade-like style of game. It's not my personal favorite, which is CS. Which, IMO, is the most tactical shooter I've played. The knowledge that when you turn that corner, someone might blow your head off, does quite a bit tactics-wise. Then there's crazy stuff like flick-shots that I still don't know how to do, even after 2+ years of playing the game.

I'm not sure exactly how it works but it basically lets you pop out of a corner, click as you're turning around, and the physics of how the bullet moves with your cursor/movement taken into account that you headshot the guy around the corner. Sort of like pre-fire, but you "flick" your mouse out...or something. I don't know how to do it. :D

That sounds like those super assassins from Wanted. I don't remember Counter Strike being that awesome. But then again, I haven't played it in over a decade...

I'm on Steam all the time. Pretty much addicted to it. Buy most of my games through it. Never even have to leave my chair!

I used Steam a lot, but I've since discovered Direct2drive and a danish online shop called Coolshop.dk that sends the game to your house within two days free of charge. Amazingly enough, it's often cheaper than downloadable games.

I most often use Steam when there's some bundle or similar deal I can't ignore. This weekend I bought the Ubisoft package for 9,99 euroes because I wanted to retry Farcry and it included that First Person hacknslash from the might of magic series.

I use steam but don't play many fps games since I generally prefer rts games although I do have L4d ;)
